Fake Ventus Velocore?

Does anyone know if fake Ventus shafts are an issue? I bought a used Ventus Black Velocore driver shaft and the 'Velocore' graphics are probably 10 degrees out of line with the 'VENTUS' graphics on the shaft. Is this cause for concern?

Fakes have been around since the Ventus line was released.  Just check out DHGate or Alibaba and you’ll find them pretty easy.  Haven’t seen any of the newer TR version but I’m sure they will pop up due to the popularity.  Only way to guarantee authenticity is to purchase thru a authorized dealer.

Yes if the graphics are severely out of line and if the tip to E in velocore graphic measurement is more than 4” (I think) then it’s a fake

I am curious of the purpose of buying a fake outside of comparing to a real one or trying to deceive people

Yes, there are fakes, ive seen listings. idk how you can tell besides checking serial.. which could also be faked

This is why I would never buy anything from companies like DHgate or AliExpress.  I was sold a fake Graphite Design AD DI shaft from a prominent used shaft retailer

and the Stiff played like a Senior flex.  I had my local club fitter text the CPM and it verified that the shaft was way off and then I found a thread here that confirmed the

graphics were off.  The retailer refunded my money but they obviously didn't do the due diligence to authenticate the shaft. 

 

I just picked up a new Ventus Velocore Blue 6s from Spillman Golf who is a member here with perfect feedback so maybe message him.
