modern day equivalent of Adams CB2 iron?

Just for fun, this used to be one of my favorite iron sets… Loved the turf interaction and weighting….Any thoughts?

I have never owned, hit, or even seen a CB2 but I do have (and have been playing) a set of CB1's.  I'm not sure how similar they are to each other, but I believe they are more alike than different.  At any rate I saw a thread on here somewhere that had a comment about the Sub 70 639 CB Forged being similar to the CB1 in a modern/currently available offering.  I have also never seen one of those in person, but the pictures do look "similar" to a CB1/CB2.

I would think Apex Pro honestly - but if you want to black finish, probably PXG Gen5 0311T

Hit the Paradym a few days ago with a lighter shaft than I usually play and it felt pretty nice.  Coming off the ZX7 with a heavier shaft than I think I need these days.   Not convinced the V Sole design works for me.

Would absolutely second this...started with CB3's here and they were nice, traded those off ended up with a set of CB2's and they are still my absolute favorite forged cb of all time. Went through 2 sets...incredibly hard to find a set at this point that aren't beat to a pulp, I spend quite a bit of time looking still lol

I've played the CB2s until this year and finally splurged on the new Titleist T series combo set. I still prefer the feel of the Adams but the new T150s are super fun to play with.

I played the CB1 for years, CB2 just a little bit bigger.  They are very nice player iron, definitely more similar to Apex Pro, CB, T100 than Paradym or ZX5.

cb2 was my first set of forged irons. This was my first set of forged irons. I blame them for this addiction

There's a set on the Bay for less than $200, problem solved.

ZX5 MKII are pretty close, and actually feel a litttle better. One of the reasons I like them.

I happened upon a mint set of A4 Forged theat looked like they'd never been hit recently, so I snatched them up for <$200 for 5-PW. Same sole grind as the CB2 that I'd played for a few years.

Gonna shaft them with some KBS TGI 80, I think.
