“Not a great review” it sound like the reviewer found the clubs themselves lacking which is not really the case.

Has anyone hit the Icon heads. I like the turf interaction of the Scor wedges and was wondering if the Equalizer wedges and the Icons are similar?

I decided to order a demo Icon 7 iron. $25 to demo which includes return shipping. I always liked the looks of the icon when they were first released so when I got the email about the demo program I said "why not". I currently play ZX7s. The shafts are not the same. LZ in my ZX7 and Tour V (x flex) in the Hogan. On a hitting mat playing indoors the performance of the icon was right there with the ZX7. The Icons are a degree weaker than my ZX7s, but the spin and distance was right there with the ZX7. Forgiveness seemed to be quite good as well. Feel was also good. I'd say the ZX7 felt a little softer, but as well all know that is entirely subjective. I'm taking the demo on the course tomorrow so we'll see how it does on actual grass. While I'm impressed, I'm not going to buy a set. If for no other reason than I just don't see the brand sticking around for long.
