If you want your game to travel and begin to post scores this is my advice. This needs to be done with every club in the bag. All you need is an alignment stick a few yards in front of you vertically on target line. You must build a reactive pre shot process that lets your sub c find your set up over and over again.

 

Work with two balls one to hit and one on the ground two feet in front, and an alignment stick a few yards further up. Practicing tapping the club on the ground behind the first ball with your eyes releasing after that tap to the ball in front. Get the eyes and hands in sink this way.

 

Pay attention to how the club FEELS in your hands. You don't need to see it to know if its a little open or closed. It also doesn't matter as impact won't match anyway. You just need to know how it feels in relation to every part of you while you are focused producing a result and burn it in when it does.

 

Nothing is aimed at your intermediate targets. ONLY the ball. Use them as checkpoints as you are re-building your mental framework. You might say I need my shoulders to feel a bit open to that spot and so on. My shoulders feel open even when they're closed so for me its now completely FEEL.

 

You keep doing this until you can bring flush and straight together. Pay attention to how you are talking to yourself.

 

When the eyes go past that initial ball and head follows we then start to integrate the feet with a tap, look and walk. Do this until your Eyes hands feet are feeling co- ordinated and in rhythm.

 

Eyes never look at the feet or the club, this creates the hurricane that bogs us down. Eyes see ONLY the shot, hands feel the club, feet feel the ground. Your eyes can obvii see it but they better let those thoughts flow without grabbing on to them.

 

Eyes see the shot ball to target, along the ground then to sky. Think of it if you were indoors, along the floor then up the wall. Not direct to the wall.

 

The ball is to the right. If the club and shot stay on your right they all line up.
 

You will feel left, rotate left and the club ball target will be to your right.

 

Eyes need to pressure back like club to keep seeing the line. Letting go is hard, but static induces movement. Pre swing motion leads to smooth in swing motion. PS it is NOT a ROUTINE.

 

Focused Feel is all you need. If you are working on just golf swing stuff mechanic I don't like using targets. The ball just needs the trajectory I'm after then I just let any changes find their way in while doing the above.
