the Chicago diet. sack of sliders, onion rings and a shake. guaranteed to power through your system like grain through a duck.

 

there's a small restaurant chain here called Hackneys. their burgers are really good. half pounders on dark rye bread (bun is optional) 

they take a pound of breaded onions and cook the whole batch pressed in a fryer basket. comes to your table looking like a big brick. those are dynamite.

Unorthodox….I was  in the very first twosome to play a new public access course south of Atlanta. Clubhouse wasn’t built yet. Was young and a little hung over and my buddy and I wanted something to eat around #6. Pro rides up and asks how we like the course. We ask him if he’s got anything for sale to eat in the trailer temp clubhouse. He says no, but “gimmie a few minutes I got an idea.” We make the turn and are on #10 green and here comes the pro again, with a giant pepperoni pizza! My man ordered pizza, then drove it out to us! 👍🏼 Three of us dug in and destroyed that pizza before #11 tee.

 

Arbor Springs GC, Newnan GA, circa 1999 and I went on to play there many, many more times. 🙂
