Riggs - Barstool golf - vs the internet trolls

Riggs gets a lot of hate, started a series where he plays someone off the internet who says he sucks

Funny how when Riggs and Whit were planning their match for $10k, Riggs was adamant he deserved strokes since Whit was the lower hdcp. Then in this video, Riggs, who claims he's a 3.1 or whatever plays this Doug, an 8 handicap, and wants to play straight up. AND STILL LOST. Whit would've clowned Riggs with or without strokes but not a great look for Riggs at all who looked like the lesser golfer the entire video

I got 12 min in before just hitting FFW. Two middle aged men that are like 8-10s without much personality. 😴 

 

No hate on Riggs tho. I just don’t care enough to harbor any hate/ill will towards the guy. An average golfer/guy that has been able to make a really nice life for himself via SM. Another one I’ll chalk up to, don’t hate the player hate the game.

When this topic popped up I thought I’d take a look. I’ve never heard of this Riggs guy (obviously I don’t know about the you tube ((if that’s where he is)) golfers. Other than what I occasionally read here. But I clicked on it just to see what it was all about. And since somebody posted a link and made it easy to do. 
 

But when they said Dormie Club was the course I thought I’d watch since I’ve read about it here. That was pretty cool to see. The other thing I noticed….i thought the 8 cap looked a lot more like a 3 than the 3 did.

It’s quite apparent why ppl hate on influencers n “content creators”. But seems Riggs gets a disproportionate amount of negativity. So of course I Googled. Found what felt like a genuine post from another SM golf guy. He initially says most are probably just jealous of a guy they see that is worse or no better than them at golf flying around on PJs, going to all the premiere events and making a living playing golf. Then he says most likely the next reason is the so called “handicap police”. Which speaks to your point. Gotta be the worst 3 I’ve ever seen swing it. He mentions that of all the rounds he has played and posted, he very rarely if ever shoots to his stated handi.

I was amazed at how many bloopers over the second baseman were happening out there.  I play with 12s who hit the ball with more pizzazz than these guys.  I have to say though, if I could get away with it like @aenemated and just be a trophy husband and play golf, I would totally run around and play random guys from the internet.  In fact, if I could, I would do it with three of the guys in this thread.

I am not sure, but face to face, he certainly fits the profile, furthermore I haven't seen him and the trophy in the same room... so yeah, I guess I am.
