Feeling Defeated - Scoop/Chicken Wing

Had three lessons a few months ago, and some lessons prior to that ~1 year ago. I've not really improved, and frankly, don't really feel I have a path to improvement. While the lessons felt great, I liked the instructors, and I feel more aware of my flaws, I really don't have any body awareness for how to fix them. For example, I have been told to let the ball get in the way of the swing, but that thought doesn't do anything tangible for my scoops. My trackman numbers showed a ~5-6 degree in-out path, with the face at ~0 degrees.

I've got no real crazy aspirations with golf, but I'm tired of the wild inconsistency my swing produces. I'll hit a 280 yard drive center of the fairway, then pull a wedge approach 40 yards of the green into some horrendous trouble, or vice versa. I generally tend to pull wedges, pull hook irons, and 2 way miss the driver.

In the down the line video I was messing around with my wrists (trying to hinge earlier after seeing my face on). So takeaway a bit more inside than usual. But point is, I am often messing around so consistency is non-existent. Just looking for some advice like "do this for 30 minutes a day" type thing to bleed into my swing gradually... Tired of bashing balls and seeing no change.

Maybe you should find a coach you really respect and who can really move you forward and learn to enjoy golf again. Monte Scheinblum is a bargain considering how good he is and how easy he make things understandable. I can clearly see you have good talent! Dont waste your time! Skillest app is good too!

Respectfully, sounds more like you need a mental adjustment first. Meaning, maybe the expectations are too high in terms of the time it will take to intregrate a swing change. No offense but this, but a handful of lessons over a year isn't going to change much and bits/pieces of advice, such as "let the ball get in the way" or "one the club like a tube of toothpaste" are somehwat band-aids and less swing fixes.

Just start with golf is hard, really good swings can be followed by bad swings, pros do it all the time and they practice way more than us. Think to yourself, how much do you practice a week? What are you working on and want needs to get better. Golf is also hard because its one thing to swing the club well, and another to play well, and almost another to have a good score.

To my untrained eye, your swing has some good pieces, some stuff needs to be fixed. I'm working on eliminating early extension which it looks like you do. Theres a lot of videso in this part of the forum focused on that, try reading some of those and see if it helps.
