Original Odyssey 380 Jailbird vs Odyssey AI Cruiser jailbird differences

I have the microhinge limited jailbird 380. Added a BGT stability tour 2 long shaft and replaced the red 3.0 17" grip with the black 3.0 17". Kept it at 39"

 

Thing is a tank and im putting better than I ever have. arccos data shows improvement of 2.8 strokes gained per round since adding it to the bag. Insane.

Did anyone try putting on a super stroke pistol 1.0? I imagine it could be awesome.. will cut off original grip and see how much it weigh. Perhaps have to buy some weights for the super stroke grip.. but will be easier to control the face ( imo )

 

Not completely sold on the putter but I’m waiting for my df3.. will experiment with this meanwhile. 
 

edit: cut it off and its at 85g if anyone curious 

Did you get your DF3 yet?  Curious how it measured up vs the Jailbird for you. I had the MH version and gave to a friend thinking the AI version would be the same setup with a different face.

Didn’t receive it yet. Been gaming the jailbird with 50g weight and it’s been really good.

Have the cruiser jailbird and just got a DF3 (34”/ 69”) 

 

played 5 rounds with the jailbird 

 

2 with the DF3 

 

I putt well with both. 
 

I have to really concentrate with the jailbird to make a good stroke, and when I do it is pure. love the feel of that WH insert. Alignment is good.  Not a huge fan of the stick grip. 
 

the df3. Feels effortless to stroke and roll the ball online. I don’t push or pull putts, especially the shorter ones inside 10 feet, ball is end over end and rolls beautifully. Love the press pistol 2.0 grip. Fits my hands perfect. I think this is what I need in my golf game.

Does anyone know what the standard weights are in the cruiser?  I am wanting to try to lighten it up a bit but I am not sure what the standard is. Thanks

Has anyone put a 2.0 XL grip on their Jailbird? I really like the 2.0 size and I’m considering putting it in my Jailbird.

Well I feel like an idiot. I thought I needed a special tool that came with the weight kit.  I took one out and they are 15g each, it is printed on the other side of them.

I’m grabbing one tomorrow. Contrary to most posts in this thread, I actually love the stock grip. This putter is great for my forward press and it practically swings itself.

Man all these posts about the lab putters I’m dying to try one. I know the pga superstore has them but I wished Rodger Dunn did as well. It’s a lot closer to my house and I have some store credit that I wouldn’t mind using to try it out.

I love the counterbalance of the jailbird, like the simplicity of the stroke with the df3.

 

counterbalance df3 will be in my future
