Brooks koepkas new putter?

It looks like brooks koepka is no longer using a Scotty Cameron t22 teryillium Newport 2 putter. Looks like a phantom putter of some sort with a slant neck.

Great find. He played pretty well yesterday. Honestly shocked he switched but it has to be working!

Couple of grainy cpu pictures I took with my phone from the YouTube stream yesterday. Looks like a 5.5 to me. Shocking he would change to that of all players who don’t like to change equipment.

This is probably the most shocking equipment change for me. He was sucking pretty bad with the putter a few years ago, especially at the pga when Phil won but came through the other side and got another major so I never thought he’d change. I’m guessing Scottie Scheffler going to a mallet and getting big results inspired the change.

I was watching yesterday and they commented on his switch, was blown away seeing Brooks with the mallet.

Except Scheffler was horrible with the 5.5 and switched out immediately.  Maybe Brooks will have more success with it?

Scottie switched to a spider and won Bay hill and players. I’m not talking about the 5.5.

Scottie switched to the 5.5 like Brooks did then putted horribly and went back to the blade.  The Spider was quite a while later.

I think he’s not playing well and not putting well with the new putter.  He doesn’t care about this event at all, but he made nothing yesterday.

Being averse to change as he is, I’d wager he has played around with the new stick in practice for who knows how long before putting it in play this week.

 

That being said, he’s clearly not happy with his putting if he’s trying other putters. And that lack of confidence is not good for Masters.

I saw he was -4.4 strokes gained on the green this week or something like that. You have to think he will go back to the other putter for the Masters.
