What would you do?

I have a Callaway Paradym driver that I bought new last year. It is stock with the standard 55g Project X Hazardous shaft, in 5.5 regular flex. At the time of purchase last year, I felt that regular flex would be a benefit to me as my swing speed was down, and I was coming from a stiff flex Ping G410 SFT that felt like I was swinging a log with very short resultant hits. The Paradym was a major improvement, but as I worked on my technique last year and into this one, I’ve picked up swing speed again, high 90s and low 100s average, and I can feel the driver head rotate at impact with the ball. After talking with a fitter and instructor, it was advised I look at swapping to a stiff flex shaft, and have looked at some options:

I do already have a stiff flex shaft for the driver, it’s a 60g Aldila Rouge White 130 MSI that I used to have on on a Callaway Mavrik Max that I broke (swung too close to my bag, head impacted my irons and cracked), and on that club I liked it a lot, but in the Paradym it feels a bit too stiff to me, and I’m not getting good hits with it.

Alternately, a local shop near me has a 55g Fujkura Speeder NX Blue in stiff flex in their inventory priced at $200 that I’ve considered, I just don’t know if it’s worth it to spend that much on a shaft, or if the better play is to try out some different stuff and trade in my driver for something totally new altogether.

Why not just purchase the same Hazardous shaft in 6.0 ?

Each OEM has their own definition of flexes. You can't compare flexes from brand to brand as being equal.

That’s not a bad thought I suppose… I am aware that each manufacturer is different in their stiffness values, and it’s really more of a feel thing. Kinda why I almost want to try some options before buying something new even if it is just a shaft.
