looks like 7 tipped a bit, which would make sense weight wise because I think he's still in 6X for his driver

I figured as much since his 3 metal is an 8X.

Your tee shots are crucial at Harbour Town.  You can be in the fairway there and be blocked out if you are on the wrong side of the fairway.  Maybe he's thinking of using this instead of his driver?   Perhaps feels like he's more accurate with it than his driver but obviously it's a little longer than 3w so it gives him an edge that way?

I used my BRNR Mini almost exclusively last year at Harbour Town off the tee.
