Tips on Trading Clubs?

Hello all,

 

Balmy 40+ day here in Chicago. Not too sure if I am putting this in the right section, but here goes: I have a deal pending with a fellow member here and we will be swapping drivers. We both have never traded clubs before and are trying to decide how to work the deal. Everything is on the up and up with the deal and contact.

 

Anyone have any pointers on trading clubs based on pictures and email contact? How can we do this?

I have traded several times with fellow members and will give you my $.02. If the other member has a good track record of sells/buys in the BST forum or if they have a verified paypal address or a solid ebay history, then I am usually pretty comfortable with trading. I will ask them if they have dealt with other members and ask for names to verify if I need reassurance. If they are legit, then they should have no problem with giving you names of folks they have dealt with. You can also get their phone number and call them as another step to validate they are legit. If they are a new member or do not have history on the boards or ebay and you do, then they should be OK with them sending you the club first then you sending your's second.

 

I always make it clear on trades that if either party is not happy with the condition or the club then we can swap back within a day or two. So far, I have not had any problems.
