How Many Have You Gone Through????????????

Just wondering if your ipod has ever broke or just stopped working?

I have the iPod mini, and I haven't had any bad luck with it, and I've had it for about 6 months now.

Hi there,

My 6 Gb mini is at best unstable. The other day it would not fire up and I had to plug in the USB cable to get it back to life. A friend of mine suggested I should push the select button plus menu or play if it was dead. That has worked on some occasions, but not always...???

It's frozen up on me twice. All I had to do was reset it both times and it was fine.

I also have a 3G 15GB ipod. I bought mine brand new off of Ebay and have had it for about 2.5 years. I have not had any major problems with it recently. Although it does not hold its battery charge like it used to. I mostly use it in my car with the car charger and cassette adapter since the iTrip does not tune the songs in as clear in some areas.

When the battery dies sometimes its hard to turn back on, you have to hold the buttons, i thought mine died a few times but it was just this.

My 4 gig nano has never had any problems.

My 20 gig 4th gen Ipod has frozen up on me twice in the past year and a half or so. All I had to do is reset it and everything was working again.

My bro's just died two days ago. We've got no clue what went wrong with it. He's had it for just over a year.

I've had the 20GB for a year now with no problems and just added the 60GB with video. It too has been working great...just need to find some videos for it! :birthday:

Wow, you've had something for over a year before upgrading? :birthday:

The only time I've ever had a problem with mine is when I use the car adapter that plugs into the tape deck (SHADDUP!--I know that it's 2006, and no I don't have tapes anymore. I did in '97 though). If you turn off or on your car while it's plugged in, you can freeze or delete stuff.

I have the 40Ggb iPod and the NANO. 40gb is 18 months old and the battery life does not seem to be as long as when I first got it. Maybe 60% capacity. Thinking of sending it back to Apple for a replacement. The NANO works great. I use the NANO more often than the 40gb. The 40gb sits in the car as it replaced the CD player.

I have had one for 2 months and the only problem I have found is that when the battery is out the thing won't co-operate and is hard to switch back on. Apart from that it's been fine.
