So Tiger gets a lot of grief on golfwrx..so i thought i would start a new thread:

 

This weekend's culprits:

 

1. Camilo Villegas : for throwing his club into the stream on 18 in anger and his leaving it for his caddie to retrieve

 

2. Mickelson refusing an interview after his third round play.

At the Fedex Kinko's Classic last week I was following the last group, Scott Simpson hit his tee shot on 13 or 14 into a fairway bunker - it may have hit off of a rake and bounced into the bunker, but he smacked the rake with his iron as he had to lay up (too close to the lip) and broke the rake in two. His caddy had to walk to the other end of the bunker and retrive the other rake.

Lol.. I saw that. That was uncool and no class at all. Pick up your damn club! But hey, I'd probably get spoiled as well if I'm making money like these guys on tour.

I wasn't offended, in fact I'm glad the old gal still has some fire, but from the replay on GC, it looked like Julie Inkster tomahawked a club in the ground after a poor shot Sunday.

My favorite is the stick-the-club-into-the-turf about six inches deep and then calmly retrieving the divot and replacing it. That always cracks me up.

I saw Bubba Watson at the Shell Houston Open hit a 75 yard wedge shot to about 20 feet on a short par 4. He was so disgusted with the result he buried the head of his wedge into the turf and started walking to the green. The caddy then had to yank it out of the ground and spent a good 5 minutes cleaning the mud and dirt off the club. Totally classless.

He was so disgusted with the result he buried the head of his wedge into the turf and started walking to the green. The caddy then had to yank it out of the ground and spent a good 5 minutes cleaning the mud and dirt off the club. Totally classless.

Totally agree. On the most basic level, caddies are paid to clean clubs...no matter how dirty they are and not matter how they got that dirty.

They're also paid to deal w/the player when he gets frustrated or angry on the course.

How dare Bubba expect his caddy to clean his clubs! Next thing you know, Bubba will expect his caddy to carry his clubs for 18 holes.

Seriously, I think big ole lunger spitting is become more popular. I don't think anyone does it more than Tiger. Really revolting to me....and to the next player who putts through it.

 

And did you see Nick Price smoking a cig as his round went up in smoke last Sunday? (I quit 20 years ago and I immediately felt like having one :lol:

I just had to youtube that woody thing again. Crazy man woody lol... Not sure when spitting became popular too. I don't mind when they spit just don't do a close-up and air it on TV, I'd rather watch somebody else swing.

Well, as long as we're on the topic of bodily functions....CBS and the Golf Channel need to CUT AWAY when players start picking their noses. I swear at least once or twice a week they'll cut to a player walking down the fairway digging for gold, and stay on the guy while they discuss how his year is going. Seriously, producers, that's just disgusting...there are about 139 other guys out there to cut to at any given moment!

I think guys spitting bakky juice all over the place is far worse than a guy have cough up due to allergies (I have to do the same).

The cigars I see on the course are far fewer than cigarettes. I smoke the occasional cigar...but I see so many cigarette butts on the course it is like duck crap to me...

 

Ernie almost took out his caddie a few years ago...when he fired his club at the bag and his caddie had just started to bend over to get the bag...the camera man was about 5 feet away.

 

I think more pros do it than we know unless you have attended an event live, then you will see it and hear some language that a Marine drill sarg would be proud of...
