my review of the Fujikura Rombax 6z08

I am going to purchase one of these but I'm not sure of the flex I will get. My driver speed is about 95 and I am putting this shaft in a Tour Edge Exotics Proto head. I currently have a Graffaloy Epic in it (regular flex) The distance is good and the shaft feels great but I am loosing distance because the trajectory is to high. I am thinking of putting the Epic in my 3 wood (Exotics 13 degree) because I want to bring up the trajectory in that club.

Looking to pick up a 6z08 for the decreased weight from a 757. swing speed is around 118-120. what flex is recommended at that speed? x or s?

You can go R or S or in between depending on your loading factor and lenght factor, etc.

Definitely an X, it could be stiffer than X depending loading factor and lenght set up, etc.

Has anybody noticed the difference in spec numbers for the z line when comparing the data from the fujikura website and the tourspecgolf website?? .. seems like a lotta hi ball hitters are turning to this shaft or the WB .. did any of yall think of going with a slightly heavier shaft, ie? 60g to 70g range?? I'm playing a WB now and am thinking of going to a 70g WB or 7z08 ...

I know this is an old most but I must say that FUJIKURA Rombax Z series shaft is one of the best shaft ever made. Its also one of the smoothest shaft I ever hit. It feels similar to Oban Kiyoshi White but lower launching shaft.

This thread is really really really old....but yeah, it's still a really good shaft. I have a 7z08 that I just cut down to play at 43.5" in my 913 D3 (I also have the stock D+ shaft playing at 44.5" which I didn't want to cut yet). I have been really impressed with it, I'm sure the length is a part of it but I have never made such solid contact with such consistent results. Ball is flying just as far as ever at 43.5" but much straighter and more consistent. Loving the feel as well, not super far off from my D+ but right now I'm liking it a little better.

Try UST Atlas Element MK. You can get a new one for around $85-$90 on eBay. It's smooth with bit tighter dispersion. For me, it also launchers lower the Rombax Z. Don't get me wrong. Rombax Z is a great shaft but I prefer the tight dispersion of Element MK.
