The 'drop off' that you describe is also found in my putter where the flange meets the shoulders. It's hard to pick up the change as a result of the black spacer. I do not notice the difference when standing over the ball.

Hi Rohit,

Thanks. That's just another option. The original profile (from the back view) came from the original M1A, which shares that feature and very similar dimensions from an Anser2-style head. We "extruded" it back in that FatBack (using South Beach cuts - internal milling - to remove weight from the center so we can keep the weight in a workable range.

We later added the Heavy FatBack with the "Flush Cavity" design that doesn't step down and out, but is instead flush in the floor and side walls of the cavity where they join the bumpers. As its name implies, the Heavy FatBack is heavier due to the added material (that makes it taller in the cavity area and at the tops of the bumpers).

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for the delay in posting - and thanks for everyone's understanding while we took a pause to take care of multiple family members' health issues. Thankfully everyone is on the mend. We all really appreciate the kind support we've received.

Next up is a pretty historic putter for the MACHINE Brand. This is the first MAX PEEN Putter from our 1.5 Release.

This putter was in our 1.5 Release, And it's been on display in our Trophy Case here, at Hank's and at worked on at home in my Garage, at our old shop and again here in our new shop. It was on my original Mac website, on our big thread here, and in my Davey's Locker thread posts and blog. So you could say she's been around! lol But never assembled until now, and never putted with until our customer takes her out for an early Christmas.

The customer requested it to be updated with our Birdie the Dog & Ball logo, hosel connection hardware, Copper Plating, Aerotech shaft, a really nice Tejus Lizard exotic grip and an oil-rubbed leather cover.

Nice to see you back, Dave. In the future, if you're looking to free yourself of family obligations, do what I do; act in such a way that they don't want to see you on a regular basis, and they'll be all the more relieved when you don't come around when they're not well.

OK, here's a fun one:

This is an M10 Fixer in Ocean Wave Carbon and Nickel Damascus, outfitted with a matching Half Offset dot Pill Cut Plumber Neck and a Titanium Damascus logo medallion. The head weight on this putter is 347 grams.

It can be fit and adjusted mechanically for loft, lie and toe hang using our new Delta Mod adjuster system.

For those of you in the Scottsdale, AZ area, you can see this putter in person at Cool Clubs HQ next week!

If someone already has a Machine putter like an M1A Adjuster with a standard plumber's neck, is it possible to buy a separate hosel and shaft?

How about the weights? Do the putters come with a weight kit?

Also, I was looking at the website and can't find a photo of the available grips. I know what a Lmakin 3Gen looks like, but not sure about a Machine reverse arch.

Hello,

As long as the MACHINE you have is not a Welded Hosel, you can definitely change out the Hosel. We sell all of our hosels Pre-Shafted and Gripped and bent to your specs.

On the Weights, The Putters will come with either 4 or 6 Weights. The M2A Converters and M10 Adjusters come with 4 and the M1A Adjuster comes with 6. We also sell additional weights if you would like to adjust your head weight.

On the Grip, here is a picture of the Reverse Arch Grip.

I have only owned a scotty TeI newport which had decent feel but was too light for me.Never tried a BB1 but honestly I cannot imagine anything that would feel better than my damascus.I did go through a TP mills phase and they were great feeling putters also but cannot compare.

I hope everyone is having a great week! I wanted to share with you a Custom MACHINE ART Putter that Dave just finished building for a Customer.

 

This MACHINE features a Custom 303 Stainless M10 Fixer Head with a 303 Stainless Tig Weld Plumber Neck.

 

The Cavity on this MACHINE is a Retro Thick Face Cavity with no Pocket.

 

This MACHINE also features Custom Melon Cuts on the Sole that were done by hand using a Cut Off Saw Blade.

What you should be writing about are the PITA customers who need constant hand-holding and assurances of how special they are and the inane requests they make through constant phone calls, texts, and emails.

I hope everyone is having a great week! I wanted to share with you a Custom MACHINE that Dave just finished for a Customer.

 

This MACHINE features a Custom Left Handed 303 Stainless M9 Converter Head with a 303 Stainless Plumber Neck and a 303 Stainless Plumber Neck.

 

This MACHINE also features a Delta Mod on the Hosel set for 1 Degree Added loft bringing the loft to 4 Degrees.

 

The Head, Hosel and Flange have all been finished in our Antique Charcoal Torch Finish.
