#1 - NOP @ 13,454 rpm
#2 - Tx4 @ 12,454 rpm

Driver 90 SS - total distance 252.6 yds.
Pro V1x - 250.4 yds.

Seems like the Wilson is a decent 4 piece ball with urethane cover for around $30 dozen.

I think they are worth the $$ - wouldn't hurt to try them out either. My only gripe is that they don't feel that soft in the short game, but that's just me.

I got a dozen Tx4 Pro from GPP for $10 (I had a $10 credit) and for my money (even the $10) I wouldn't buy them again. They do spin a lot on full swings though.

 

They were incredibly clicky. It sure didn't sound or feel like urethane to me. I just couldn't get over the sound and feel of them, off any of the clubs. I ended up giving the other 11 balls away.

 

I'm not entirely picky, I just know what I like.

I have been playing this ball for the last couple of years or so. It's pretty good, regardless of price, and an even better value at its price point. I did however try the Callaway Tour i lately, and boy did I like it. Might become my ball of choice. In the feel department, there is simply no comparison.

 

I agree with previous posters that the Tx4 can feel and sound clicky. It does however do pretty much quite well. It's a great all around ball, fairly long, with very good spin off of the irons and wedges, but with not much spin off of the driver, which I like. Putts very true, but feels a little hard off the putter.

Like them very much...they score well for me & I find they have a nice balanced feel..somewhere between a V1 &V1x...I just can't find them anywhere local

I traded on the BST for a few dozen just for kicks. This ball is long for me off the driver and irons. Like others have mentioned, a little hard off the putter. I will know more when conditions arent as wet but seems to spin off the wedges just fine. It was consistently longer than my tp red and black max off the tee and about the same on irons.

 

First impressions are they are just a great ball for the $$$

Personally I really like the ball and will most likely make it my gamer. Maybe a touch clicky off the putter but well struck shots felt like practice swings. Really enjoyed this ball. Will definitely be pushing this ball to the members out my course as a cheeper replacement to the Pro V-1.

I really wanted to like this ball since I like W/S, but there was nothing that I liked about it. It was significantly shorter than the TP Black and ProV1x and it had a horrible sound. I could get past the sound if it performed as well as the 2 aforementioned balls, but it wasn't even close.

 

I had a dozen of them, gave 3 of the sleeves away and none of those that I gave them to liked them either.

Interesting to know that there are at least 3 different version of the Tx4. The original, the original "improved" (identified as such on the box), and now the Tx4 Pro.

 

It's funny because my local Wilson rep, whom I know for some time but who is coming from Wilson's tennis division, told me when I aske dthat the only diofference between the Tx4 "Improved" abnd the Tx4 Pro was in the packaging.

 

So I believed so until last week, when another Wilson rep who seemed to know better explained that there was in fact a noticeable difference between the cover of both balls. Apparently Wilson bought Maxfli Black Max's patent, and is now making the cover of the Tx4 Pro the same way that of the Black Max was made. I have no idea of what that means, and I must admit that I haven't tried the Pro. I have played the Tx4 for a couple of years, but only the "Improved" version. According to the guy, a noticeable difference should be felt off of the irons, wedges and, mainly, putter.

If you liked the previous versions, I'd wager that you'll really enjoy the latest version of the Tx4 pro. They have made changes from the "improved" version. Granted results do vary from person to person but it is as long as anything I've hit maybe just a bit longer, and when struck crisply it spins very well.

I was never able to play the older version, so unfortunately I am unable to compare. All I can say is that I am pretty impressed with the newest Pro version.

Recently I've been playing with Srixon AD333 and the Z-URS. My normal ball I game with are the Titleist NXT Tour's since they were 1st released, but awhile back I played with some W/S Zips and the Tx4 Pro's. Testing to see which W/S ball was better...clearly the Tx4 Pro's performed much better. The Tx4 Pro's are a really great ball! I have noticed recently I'm getting great spin off my wedges. When pitching on the green or hitting from 100 yards and in, the ball stops when you need it to and spins/checks on a dime. The distance on them I would say, is nothing like the more expensive big name company balls, but for how much you pay, they are great. I'll probably switch on and off with the NXT Tour's and these W/S. For now the Tx4 Pro's are staying in my bag until Haggin Oaks stops carrying them!

Oh yeah and one other thing about these balls.....the cover will shred if your wedges grooves are sharp. The only negative thing I see with these balls.

Alternated yesterday with B330s & V1X...scored better with the TX4...it goes & finishes where I want it to... now 16.99 at GPP
