Too boring, in other words?

I suppose that if I can't share my witb sig, I could post it just once. Anybody else experience this?

There may also be some things about the way you've laid it out that the system doesn't like. I often find when I edit my sig, I get that damned annoying message. And if I go back and retype something and press again, VOILA, no error.

 

I've seen some sig files around here the length of a bible ... so I'm not sure that's your problem. But the suggestion above makes a lot of sense.

Instead of using an asterisk (*) to designate degrees, just type alt 0186. Then you get a real degrees symbol (º).

What if you took out the periods? You are limited by character count. Those count as characters.

Being a math and Mac geek, I'll point out the alt+0 is a zero exponent while control+alt+8 is the degree symbol.

 

I know, nobody but me cares. In fact, I doubt most people would notice even when looking at both :D

 

10° versus 10º one's perfectly round (degrees) and one is shaped like a little zero (exponent).

There is a character limit so signatures don't get out of hand. You are formating font and text. Just enter it as plain type and you will have no issues.

The signatures count characters. IF you're putting in the commas and dots, you are definitely overloading it.

 

You could also abbreviate (HL instead of "High Launch"--people will still know what it its).

 

Also, rather than type in 19* Driving Iron, simply put in 19*.

 

It's also evident that a 53* and a 58* are both wedges, no need to type in wedge each time. Actually, none of the "titles" are needed (Sand Iron, Putter, Ball, Bag, etc.). They're all self explanatory for most everyone on here.

 

Just a few suggestions. You should easily be able to fit your WITB in a signature--I easily do it (see below).

No problem with the length of my sig.

 

Don't give up so easily.

 

You may want to copy it into Word or some other word processing software and do a character count. I think you get about 1000 here, but formatting like "" costs you 7 characters.

I turned off signatures because of the kids that think I want to read what clubs they're using in every post (in 18pt. font, bolded and in rainbow colors).
