I have a Devon ETBW (Whitlam/Gauge Design) - WONDERFUL PUTTER!

I owned one...actually sold it to a member on here in the US. I loved the weight and feel, just so solid....the balance was incredible. NOw it also had one of those special shafts...the UST frequency thingie...that might have made something of a diff...but honestly...they are very classy and i enjoyed it as much if not more than most camerons i have handled.

The head on mine is 350g and very stable feeling. It has very good feel across the face for the weight of the head. It seems sometimes with heavier heads that stability is not the issue, but feeling the ball on the face is. Not with this putter. Up with the rest in price, but worth every cent.

 

Oh yeah they are beautiful too!

I like the pic of the model above....the weights at either end ....look like loudspeakers!

 

I get so confused though on the whole whitlam guage or guage design stuff...they all look the same to me. I like this whitlam

Agreed...I really love the balance and especially the feel of my Whitlam Devon ETBW. Just a pure feeling...and gorgeous to look at!

I do not know if anyone will fully understand the whole Gauge, Whitlam, Gauge Japan debate. Some say one is better others say not. I think they were the same company at one time. Then there was some king of dispute over patents or something of that nature. I don't want to pretend like I understand the semantics of the corporate goo, but I will tell you that the putter I have made by David Whitlam is as well made as any putter I own.

There is a Devon with no weights, but it will also not have the weights in the bumpers. Also, the Joseph has no weights.

can you post a pic of it? I have two Gauge's, the 1st is a one of a kind GAA1 Memorial project A and the second is a GAA8 with the coldstar finish....Both find there way back into the bag from time to time....

It was 5-6 years ago but I had the GA01/GA03 and also the SN version of one of them. I got rid of them even though I putted well with them because I couldn't stand the mudslinging and I mistakenly put maybe a tad too much faith in what one person was saying :(

I have a devon spi3 been using it for a few weeks. Best putter I have ever used for both feel and ball roll. Highly recommend them to anyone.
