What a great company

I am so very impressed with Rocket Tour that I felt this deserved a post on its own in this forum. Hopefully this is the correct area to post about positive purchasing experiences. If not, please merge/move this thread accordingly.

On Friday I went online and placed an order on the website for Rocket Tour at the suggestion of many forum members that stood by the headcovers they had purchased from the manufacturer. Jan Craig/Rocket Tour debates aside, these positive reviews for Rocket Tour and the price range they were in convinced me that this would be a good purchase. For those curious, I purchased the argyle for my driver and a striped one for one of my fairway woods. I will have pics of my bag up in the next week that will proudly display them, but for the time being most of my clubs are out and about getting one thing or another done.

Regardless, I arrived home this evening to find a package at my door. The return address showed it was from RT. What a quick turnaround: Friday to Monday delivery. As we all are when we get a new "toy" I was quite giddy, and the USPS box didn't stand a chance. I opened the box and poured the contents out. To my surprise not one, not two, but THREE RT bags popped out: my argyle, my striped pom, and a "skinny stick" with victory stripe in the matching colors of my other two!
I quickly checked the invoice to see if I had accidentally ordered one more than I had thought. NOPE! Instead, the invoice contained a hand written note telling me I had "won a freebie" from their daily drawing!

This experience has left me very impressed with both the RT products, which in my experience so far seem to be very quality, and the personal touch of customer service. Maybe I am a bit old fashioned, but a handwritten statement is very much appreciated by me in a world full of blanket statement notecards.

Thanks to those at RT. I really appreciate the touch and I will be back for certain in the near future.

Pretty lucky. I am loving my RT head covers. They definitely get some compliments when you are out on the course.

I am definetely considering some Rockettour headcovers at the moment. I just ordered a Titleist S82 and would love to have some nice matching pom headcovers, not the ugly OEM ones. :)

I thought I was fine with OEM ones... not anymore. My girlfriend could care less about golf and is still fawning over how nice the covers look. Plus, the added bonus of not having an OEM headcover is you aren't screaming to every thief hanging around teh course that you have the newest clubs.

That's great customer service, especially given the current economic woes when companies might be tempted to cut back on freebies.

I love it when golf companies remember that this is an expensive hobby that we all buy into over and over and over... incredible how one small gesture will win them plenty of new business!

The exact same thing happened to me when I placed orders for my Rocket Tours via the internet website. When the order arrived, I had two "freebie" headcovers included and the packing slip said I had won their "daily drawing" for both of the orders I had placed. Excellent customer service!

i bought the black/red argyle too- it's sweet and def adds something extra to the bag. the wife loves her pink skinny stick cover for her hybrid too.

Is there any chance they would have a color that isn't on their website? They have black and any other color mixed, but not black and orange (only orange and black)! I'm wanting the shaft part to be black and the stripes to be orange. I just can't figure out why they wouldn't have that combination when they have practically every other combination!

Here is the display of their headcovers at the PGA show. I don't see a black with orange stripe with Pom. Call them and ask, they always pick up the phone.

 

The orange with black stripe looks really good, imho.

I just had the same thing happen to me. I ordered one and they sent a second matching one for free, with a handwritten note saying that I had "won a drawing."

Rocket Tour is unbelievable, and there customer service is out of this world good.

 

I placed an order on Wednesday night for 2 Victory Stripes Poms and a Victory Stripe Skinny stick. I had heard about a promotion that they used to run where you got a free headcover if your purchased 3. Anyways, i asked in the comment area on the order form if they planned to run this promotion in the future.

 

Fast forward to about 20 minutes ago when i recieved my package from Rocket Tour (Only 2 days after i ordered). I opened the box to find the two poms that I ordered as well as two skinny sticks!!!! I only ordered one. I checked the invoice and there was a handwritten note that said, "We def. plan to run the promotion very soon. In the meantime, enjoy your extra cover, Thank you very much for choosing Rocket Tour"

 

All i can say is WOW!! They included an extra $30 cover for no apparent reason. This company is one of the very few remaining that actually values customer service and happiness.

 

They have it right. Go out of your way to make the customer happy, and they will spread the word to many more people who will eventually order as well.

 

About the Covers

These are 10 times better than i thought. They are thick! The detail is very nice and easily fit on my 909's. I also ordered 3 patches. "Stay Positive" for my Driver, "Play Smart" for my 3 wood, and "Think Smooth" for my hybrid.

 

They were like $3 each but well worth it figuring i am going to read those thoughts whenever i go to pull that club.

 

All in all with the customer service and product quality i give Rocket Tour an A+. Jan Craig really has some stiff competetion now.

i jsut ordered mine, i ordered a full set of driver 3 wood and 2 skinny sticks, but still receiving a free one would be great, maybe a different colour skinny stick??

yup. same here. i have a few month old driver hc that is kind of falling apart. i am trying to get it replaced. i guess i just need to call in.

Okay, so I get home today and find a box from RocketTour so I open it like a kid on Christmas. I'm expecting to see one blk/light blue stripe driver headcover and one blk/light blue stripe fairway headcover, but wait, I also see an extra fairway headcover (all blk with blk/white pom). I look at the invoice and see the hand written note saying I won the weekly drawing.

 

Wow! I was so giddy. I have to admit, after reading the number of posts above about how some of you got an extra cover, I was hoping I would as well, but didn't really count on it. Well, I can't believe I won the same drawing.

 

All I can say is I'm extremely impressed and wowed. The covers also look sick and are actually very heavy gauge so I'm thinking durability should be solid.

 

Anyways, just wanted to add what a great company and product. RockTour ROCKS!

they are very strong too, they last, I just got driver and 3 wood red with white strips and red/wht poms and barely used them, got an orange bag for my bday.. so i have to get orange ones now...

 

i will be selling the 2 red ones soon... pm if interested or if you have orange ones thx
