July Golf in Kansas City

Just found out I will be in Kansas City in July. The wife is at a conference so I will be free for golf during the day. First what are the

temps in July and can anyone recommend a few course that won't cost an arm and a leg.

There's a good chance of 90* weather in july, gets pretty hot and humid....As for courses, you can try Dubbs Dread, Sun flower hills, Tiffany greens, Adams point, Falcon lakes...Just do a search, there are a number of courses in the area that are affordable....and if you feel like doing a little gambling, then look me up at the Oaks in Leavenworth and get in one of the daily dog fights....

Try Swope Park, Sycamore Ridge, Shoal Creek, Deer Creek, Adams Pointe, Alvamar in Lawrence, Prairie Highlands and many others including the ones the previous poster listed. Lot's of good golf, PM me before you think about coming up, if there is a course that you are thinking of playing I will give you the scoop on whether you should not play it. All good courses. I enjoy Deer Creek, Falcon Ridge, and Tiffany Greens to name a few.

Most of those courses listed are around 40-50 a round

if you want cheaper there are plenty of those too

July sucks here....very humid. Get an EARLY tee time.

Swope park is one of my favs here in KC. Dubs dread is alright. Better if you fade it off the tee

Deer Creek is 60 or so to play....narrow and tough....great course though.

where will your wife be in KC? That may narrow your choices a little.

Drumm Farm in Independence is awesome...so is Winterstone.

I know this is an older post, but I looking at heading to KC in early March. It looks like the courses should be open. What are the best four courses? It looks like I'll have time to get in 4 rounds. Location isn't that important other than the KC metro. Price not important either, just want to play the best four rounds I can in March.

In my opinion the top 4 public courses are these:

1) Sycamore Ridge- about 30 mins south of downtown- Rated the number one public course in KC for several years straight.
