skycaddie 2.5 questions?

case and charge?

who uses a case with there skycaddie? does it cover the screen? and where did you get it?

Ive found one that looks to cover there unit but the window is not covered....I personally would rather have a screen protector than protect the corners... just look at my watch...

and the second... do you need to completely drain the battery before a recharge? or does it not matter

I have the standard leather skygolf case for my SG2.5. It doesn't cover the face, but I have a screen protector on the screen for that. I've had it for almost a year and the case/screeen protector have done the job.

 

I'm not sure about your second question. But I never completely drain the battery and it still holds the change just like it did when it was new.

I have the leather case to protect it while I am golfing. Yes, I am using the protector covers so the screen is protected to some degree.

 

In addition, I have a small padded camera case to provide further protection while the unit is in my bag and I am in transit and the unit is not in use.

 

As for the second question, I re-charge the unit after each round religiously. I have not had the chance to use it yet over 36 holes in a day so I can't confirm if the charge will last both rounds.

Getting 36 holes out of it in a day is no issue. I've played 36 back to back days without a recharge but that is pushing it. Periodically like any ion lithium battery it's beneficial to drain it completely so you don't get battery memory.
