Interested in some feedback from the board. I found the Tour I (much) longer than the Z Star. What have the rest of you experienced?

I have been testing the Z-Star, Tour I and New Pro V1 the last few weeks and have drawn these conclusions. IMO the Tour I is better through the wind, the hardest off the putter, and average in spin to the greens. The Pro V1 spins more than the other two, is more workable with the driver and irons, and is much more durable than the older ones. The Z-star is the softest off the putter, similiar in length to the Pro v1, but doesn't spin as much off the wedges. It does seem to flight a touch higher resulting in a softer landing than the other two balls. I played 18 with each ball (not loosing any surprisingly) and they seem to wear pretty equally. All of them were missing paint and showed some scuffs, but none were gouged like the old pro v1's would get. I think distance is pretty close between them all but I would rate the Tour I as the shortest by a small margin, unless your fighting the wind.

I have found both Callaway Tour I & IX to be very long for me. Terrific in the wind. I have not tried the Z Star yet though but I like the Cally balls better than the Pro V1. It is most likely with me that I am benefitting from the fact that the Cally balls are lowest spin off driver versus other premium balls. This was documented recently in Golf Digest ball test.

I used the Cally Tour I extensively this past week and one of the shortcomings, in my opinion ( & reported by others), is the feel on the green. They seem not to have as much feel and dont seemingly roll as far.
