Nope, I bought them last weekend when I first posted a thread like this that got moved to the "Deal No Deal" sub-forum. These are "Tournament Edition" balls which means they are compliant. Looking at the balls though, I could not tell the diff unless it's very subtle...

Is there a "/" between "TP" and "Red" ? If so, they are non-conforming.

 

Found a guy that had the "Tournament" balls on eBay and asked. He said there WAS a "/". I said "No thanks". Another guy with "Tournament" balls (also on eBay) said there was NOT a "/" on his.

This post is incorrect. There is a ball on the current conforming list with a "/". Here is the markings copied directly from the current list:

 

< TP/Red (slanted square) LDP >

 

Notice it is conforming with the "/". The catch is that it has to have the "." after the right ">".

Sorry but YOU are incorrect. Well, technically you're not but the ball YOU are referring to is NOT current.

 

Of the TP Reds on the shelves TODAY, there are 2 kinds (according to www.tmag/tpred/ ) AND according to what I've seen in the stores myself.

WITH the "/" are ILLEGAL.

 

WIHOUT the "/" ARE legal.

 

The "slanted square" YOU are referring to is NOT the current ball's sidestamp.
