spent the whole day with the b330-s and the zstar

today I spent the whole day with the b-300-s and the zstar at my club. I played 18. Then I hit them on the range and chased them with my cart, and them I hit 2 different practice greens and bunkers. I also played both balls against a callaway tour ix. the tour ix was not even close to the b330s or the zstar. The callaway ball did everything a little worse for the most part, some things were the same like iron distance, but i swear the callaway ball feels like it is hollow. Thats all i am going to say about the callaway ball.

Now between the b330s and the zstar Here is the bottom line. I can't tell a difference at all except with the driver. the b330-s wins with the driver. both are straight, it is just that the b300 is about 10 to 15 yards longer. Spin around the green was the same on both balls for me. Both stopped well.

About me. Today I was swing at 107, I am a 5 something GHIN. I play oldfashioned grooves. I don't have any spin milled, or max milled, or mac daddy type of wedges. So I don't know if they would make a difference with the balls.

What kind of putter do you use? I liked the B330-S but the Z-Star feels/sounds much better to me off the putter. I wouldn't say the B330-S was overly clicky, like a Callaway ball, but it was not in the same league as the butter-like feel/sound of the Z-Star.

I use a stainless putter with no insert so I like a soft feeling ball.

Hi, I have a stainless ping wrx anser with just a milled stainless cast face. I also used a scotty cameron studio 5 carbon steel putter as well today. The sound might be a little different between the balls, but I really didn't notice it. I don't hear very well, but the feel of the 2 balls was about the same to me.

I feel the same about the B330s, the driver distance is longer than the Z Star by10-15 yards. On Monday I played a three pack of the Z Star X and all I can say is wow! A little softer than the B330s, not as much spin but better feel off the driver, irons and putter. Had my best day ever with my irons and I could really feel the ball compress on solid hits. Seems longer than the B330s but not sure since I did not play the B330s all day. The Z Star X retains that sweet feeling off the putter as the Z Star, just not as soft. The Z Star X was a much better ball for me than the Z Star.

Eagle, sorry, I don't really notice the durobility on balls, I don't play any saw milled or mac daddy groves. I swing around 108 to 112.

At the end of 18 all balls have scuffs on them that I have played. I have never found a premium ball that doesn't.

Maybe try a surlyn covered ball if you want a ball you can't shred up. They are not as good, but last much longer. srixon ad333 is a great ball that will never shred.

All urathane covers are going to shed up.

I can comment on cover of b330s (see my wedges in sig). I'll get average 2 - 4 rounds out of a ball, depends on how many wedges I have to hit :)

I think overall durability is as good as any tour level ball out there, certainly NOT below average.

I Love the Z Star- never tried the B330s- and I'll try those soon. I got an extra sleeve - a 5th free of the

ZStars.. and I chose the ZStar x.. but I gave those to my golf buddy.. whom is a Long Time Titeist ball guy.

My Buddy has continued to play the Z Star x- he ussually will say something after 9 holes...

"Here's your balls back - Thanks." and go back to his Fav's Titleist Prov 1x's. He's a 2 hcp. Not this time.

He like's 'em and is on his third round with the same ZStarx ball.

Anybody know what's up with the ZStar Diamond- which Stenson won with ? IS it harder than the ZStar x ?

I think Stenson liked the Zur ball, which was Srixon's hardest tour ball...??

Does anyone else have any input on how these two balls compare?

I've recently been using Z-Stars and love them, particularly the feel off the putter but I'm always keen to try something new.

I've tested the B330-RX and wasn't that impressed with them, despite really wanting to like them. As such I think I'll give the B330-S a try. More length Vs the Z-Star and a little more spin round the greens would be great. I'd be prepared to sacrifice a little feel off the putter for that.

Also, which has lower spin off the driver the Z-Star or B330-S?
