The CG7 Tour (TC) is a specific iron designed for a handful of players on the Cleveland Tour staff. It was designed on a CG Tour (BLADE) chassis and shape but has a small cavity for added forgiveness. Cleveland is able to add a cavity because of the material that was used to make this club. The TC iron is made from CMM or Carbon Metal Matrix. The density and properties of this material allow our club designers to have more freedom with discretionary weight. When working with players irons it is critical to get all the weight in an area that will allow the top players in the world to achieve their desired ball flight. Cleveland also added Dynamic MCT and Gelback technology to this club. The Dynamic MCT optimizes the CG location for each head and the Gelback provides vibration dampening for superior feel.

The reason that Cleveland didn't continue to make all our irons from CMM is because the manufacturing process is very difficult with this material and the cost of making a club is extremely expensive, that is why this set would retail for over $1000 dollars. We used to use CMM for a few iron sets & wedges in the past…but golfers weren't looking to spend more for irons.

This particular Tour Issued design can be bought through approved Tour Issue (TC) Cleveland dealers. Mortons Golf is one of those and our sponsor.

To win Please reply to this thread why you would like to game these awesome heads. The winner can have these made up to tier specs in standard shafts.

We randomize all the number of posts and the #1 number on the top is the winner. Say there is 1,000 replies from members. We will randomize 1 to 1,000 using a website that has a randomizer. It scrambles the numbers and the #1 is the first place and the #2 is the second etc. If the winner has duplicate entries we count the first.

We will do the same for every contest.

Being on a budget and the economy being what it is winning these clubs would save me money. How? My son is starting to play a little golf and I could give him my set and upgrade to the Clevelands. I currently play forged Titleist 802 with a cavity back. Not too big of a step for my son to use and I don't believe the Clevelands would be too much of a players club for me.
Thanks

Hello,
I would like to validate Cleveland , these are some of the sweetest irons I have hit. I am surprised the retail and the Tour TC could look so close to being the same because they are night and day as to how they perform. I dont mean to be negative toward Cleveland but I would never be able to play the retail set. I visit my brother near Haggin Oaks GC ( Morton Golf) in Sacramento and they have a huge Cleveland Tour Dept setup of Demo Tour stuff. You can try the entire Tour depts line up there. Its actually a blast you can hit every club with an unlimited amount of balls. I live at Bandon Dunes and I ony go to Haggin Oaks GC to there super shop to get my equipment. If you have the chance to visit them there is a Nine hole and a 18 hole course and both are very nice. You Sacramento Guys are lucky to have such a super shop near you. I have never visited anywhere like it. If you order a custom set they will exchange it or make changes to it up to 90 days from the purchase and on stock sets or equipment they will honor it up to 30 days.

Sorry I get going when it comes to Haggin/Morton they are really great. So Back to the point of this I would love to win these being I am able t only look at this stuff right now due to the economy and a hard nosed wife that says I dont need it. What does she know I DO NEED IT!

Thanks for the post. Very cool. I wish we had a Haggin Oaks around here. The Cleveland TC tour issue equipment available to public is cool but when and where can you go to see, touch and feel this stuff is the problem. Very underrated service.

Must be something magic in Cleveland's metallurgy, as I have been playing Cleveland wedges with CMM for years and love them, then I just recently tried their older model '06 steel fairway metals they advertised as being "so long it's almost criminal" and they ain't ly'n....so if it's not too much to ask...please make me a total Cleveland convert by granting the CG-7 Tour TC's to this poor soul. Thank you.
