Any comparisons to help me choose

Haven't found either of these in a demo yet, so haven't had a chance to hit other than into a simulator. Looking for comparisons or help in making my decision. Thoughts on rombax shaft in r7?? Forgiveness?? Accuracy and distance?? I use to play the 983e so looks of the r7 are more appealing at address. Tournaments are almost starting, so need to find my gamer.

go with the 905R no doubt. great feel, forgiving and plenty long. Solid stick without the hype of the R7.

 

Also, much better shaft options on the 905R as well.

I played Titleist exclusively for many years (975D, 975J, 983K, 905T). Recently switched to a R7 425 and I am very happy with results. I think it is the Rombax shaft but this is the first driver I can get the right amount of spin to balance distance and accuracy. I would love to try the 905R with a Rombax but that is not a shaft option. I reshafted the 905T (not with Rombax) and was not happy with the feel and sound afterwards. A little leary and expensive to purchase the 905R and reshaft immediately. I will stick with the R7 425 for the time being.

A friend of mine has the r7 425. I have the 905r. Tried 3 holes with the r7 (rombax) versus the 905r (v2 65). Both were 9.5° ball flight was the pretty much the same. I found the 905r easier to work with, the feel was a little bit better and the length was another point for the 905r. I think the 905r is the better dirver of the two...

905R w/ V2 76g S 9.5* shaft was right for me. I kind of liked the sound of the 425 better but the 905R offered a better ball flight, square face, better accuracy, and more distance.

Why not R460? They are easier to hit than R425.. If you really want the exotic shaft go for 905R, but it comes with a price.
