Depends on whether you are inside or outside the Beltway I guess. Or how far you are from the Beltway. Where do you play around here usually?
Great looking bag. I bet you can't wait for the snow to melt. Haha. I have some family out there and they tell me it's ridiculous. Where abouts Northern VA are you from?
I'm in Bristow. About 50 miles outside of Washington DC.

Heck yeah. It's been driving me crazy. I was able to make it out to the range on New Year's Eve. It was around 35*. Didn't put in a full range session, I just wanted to hit my irons and see how they felt. Just swinging nice and easy and boy do they feel good. Even with frozen range balls. Can't wait till it warms up.

I'm in Bristow. Right before Gainesville where Robert Trent Jones Country Club is located.

I usually play at Stonewall. I guess you can call it my home course. Other courses include Old Hickory, Raspberry Falls, Dominion Valley, Bristow Manor, Bull Run (crappy now), and Westfields.

The thing I like about the Iomic is that I can wipe them with a wet cloth and it gets tacky. It doesn't wear as fast. They are suppose to last twice as long as the other grips on the market. I haven't had to replace any yet. I had them on my previous set for a year. The problem I have with the other grips is that they wear down quickly and become shinny, smooth, and slippery. That didn't happen with the Iomics.

I actually prefer corded grips. I'm a really big fan of the Lamkins Crossline. Wish they had Iomics with cords. That would be awesome.

PuppetMaster, not sure if you venture out of Virginia to play golf but two Maryland courses I highly recommend is Bulle Rock and Lake Presidential in Maryland. Awesome courses. If you ever decide to play there, you make a day out of it and play 36.

No, I am not a photographer. I'm a web developer. My wife, not a photographer by profession either, but is REALLY into pictures and cameras (her vice), gave me some pointers.

I see you have some photog skills too. One of the nicest set ups I've seen in a while. Can i ask how you like the ft-9 tour? have you hit it against an ft9-TH?

thanks!!
Thanks for the compliments on the pics.

I love my FT-9 Tour driver. It's the best driver I have ever owned. It is very long and extremely forgiving on mis-hits. The distance lost on toe or heel shots are very minimal. It could also have something to do with the shafts as well. I had a Fubuki before the PX. Both shafts performed really well but the PX was able to lower my trajectory and provided more roll out.

I'm dying to try the new FT Tour or FT-9 Tour Authentic (TA). I've been reading a lot of good things about it on here. But, some are saying the FT-9 TA is really low spinning and not as forgiving and the FT Tour is a little easier to hit because they moved some of the weight back in the head to allow a higher launch. So I'm not sure which one I want. Don't want to spend a lot on the FT-9 TA and find out it's too much for me and don't want to spend a lot on the FT Tour before it goes retail. So I guess I have a little dilemma. I'm definitely going to buy one, just not sure which one or when.

Pulling my 15* 3 wood and replacing it with a 16* hybrid this season. So that makes three hybrids in the bag. My bag is starting to look like an LPGA bag.

Bag has been updated with an FT Tour 9.5 with a Kai'li 70. If you haven't seen one in person, the driver is beautiful. It has a nice classic shape and an open face. I would have to say at least 1.5*. I that's not too much for me. It was worth the wait!

Top to bottom this is an awesome bag. How does the FT-Tour compare to the FT-9 in terms of forgiveness? Do you notice a big difference?
I haven't had a chance to hit it yet. Just picked it yesterday morning and re-shafted it in the afternoon. The majority of the snow here has finally melted and the driving range is finally open. I'll try to hit it tomorrow and provide some feedback.

Very nice FT-Tour. Who did the work on the install? I assume you needed to shim the Kai'li since the FT-Tour is a .350 hosel?

Had a chance to hit the FT Tour Kai'li 70 (stiff) combination this weekend and it felt really good. The current set up is 45" tipped 1". This combination was producing low to mid knuckle balls. Really couldn't get a good idea of the distance or roll since we still have snow out on the range and some head wind. Surprisingly, the FT Tour is very easy to hit. I was a little concern with the face angle being close to 2* open but it wasn't a big issue at all. The majority of my drives were going dead straight. Some had a slight fade but I was getting that with my FT-9. So I'll chalk that up to my hacker swing and not the club. I usually don't try shaping my shots because I'm not very good at it but it was so easy with the FT Tour. I was able to hit high cuts and low draws without much difficulty.

The Callaway hyperbolic face is awesome. You can definitely feel the trampoline effect. It's just a cool feeling, you can feel the face cave and the ball explode off the face.

The FT-Tour has a more metallic sound compared to the FT-9. In a way I prefer the baseball bat sound of the FT-9. But I can't have it all.

I really like this setup but I want to try it with a Kai'li untipped. I think I want a little more air under the ball for more carry.

Thanks Puppetmaster! Mike Fix of High Launch Golf did the build last Friday. Yeah, we had to shim the Kai'li to make it fit. Not sure why Callaway went with the .350 hosel on this one.

Thanks, I figured as much given that you've recommended those guys before. I may have to stop in there this weekend or sometime soon at least, they are only 20 mins from where I live.

Yeah, I've always wondered about that Callaway decision myself... in the FT-Tour and Diablo Edge Tour.
