Shadow Creek Las Vegas is it worth it?

Has anyone played Shadow Creek in Vegas and is it worth it?

I just got back and we played painted desert and loved it!

I played it last July and it was definitely worth it. As long as you stay at any of the MGM Properties you can play it. They pick you up at your hotel in a limo and bring you to the course in North Las Vegas. The course is impeccable and it is an amazing facility. You will feel like you are the only one out there because the tee times are so spread out. The driving range is incredible. I can answer any questions you have about the course so feel free to ask me anything. Other people will probably tell you it is not worth it and to play Wolf Creek or Reflection Bay, etc... but in my opinion it is an incredible experience and well worth it.

I've played there back in 1997 when you had to gamble to get the invite to play there. It was like paradise in the middle of the desert

Worth playing at least once! Immaculate and customer service is top notch. Very cool to see all the celebs and personalities who have lockers there. Every hole is unique and the caddies really know their stuff.

Agree completely. Played it once. Our forecaddy had caddied for Tiger and some high school buddies (before he was married) ...some great stories.

The golf is other-worldly. There are even exotic pheasant species running around. Who knew pheasants came in so many colors!

I have played many courses, some of them others consider to be dream courses.

None of them or anything I have ever played compares to the Shadow Creek experiences I have had.

When I played Shadow Creek, there were literally only a few tee times allowed for the day.

Breakfeast in the bar before your round was somehow better there then back at The Bellagio.

It was not odd to see Mr Wynn and his shepard cutting across the 18th back and forth to the clubhouse and he always had a good tip on which way the putt was going to break or not.

Stick was the man as far as caddy's go.

Lucky was the best Limo Driver you could get to or from.

None the less, I would still think that the golf experience that Shadow Creek offers today would be well worth it.

The course itself is very impressive, the small but unique club house is impressive.

The golf carts with there extra large built in coolers fully stocked under the seats were awesome.

17 is a short but beautiful par 3, with a tiny green, pond in front, waterfall behind, that I have seen ruin many rounds.

18 is a very reachable par 5..... but beware, the water on left and fronting the green has ate up many 200 and in second shots.

Shadow Creek, if your experience is just half as good as all of mine were, you will always remember your day there as if it were last weekend.

I hope you get to play the course, its a one of a kind experience.

I hated that course, narrow fairways with houses too close on both sides for most of the holes.
