Miura Forged Onoff CB247

I love the look of these irons. They're the best looking CB I've ever seen. These didn't sell at the asking price $999, but I almost pulled the trigger. What do you guys think about these irons? Are these the same iron as Nike Proto or Miura CB 202? If not, what are some of the differences? Any comments will be appreciated.

looks just like the Nike Prototype split backs.... best looking design for a CB.... at least to my eye..

I personally think Wishon did it right with the 555C irons. I built a set for my buddy at work and they are beautiful clubs. Those On-Off's are sexy too!

Is $999 a fair price?

It's fair. Must have looked at those a hundred times last week. Exhibited some rare self control...easier to do with 10 inches on snow on the ground.

I had a set of those, the original price of those was $2400. I've also had a set of Miura 202s, the onoffs are a little thicker but a lot more forgiving. I'd say a fair price for them and if I'd have seen them they would be gone.

They retail for a lot more then what was listed. I believe they were $2200 at tourspec golf at one point and I have seen them over $1500 on some Japanese sites. I would make sure you get the scoop about where he got these, if legit that is a great deal. I know there is a guy that lives in Hawaii that is on this site who has 2 sets you could search and find him and get some more info.

What part of the club head is thicker on onoffs? Hard to believe that Miura used different molds for the Onoffs, Nikes, and the Miura 202's.

My question is how do they feel compared to the the 202's?

Well, I was able to contact the seller and bought these irons. I don't know if they're legit but every bit looked good. I can't wait to see them in person.

Great pickup, I thought of doing the same thing lol. Post some pics and give us a write up on them when you get them, I think they are just a simple no nonsense beautiful stick.

I have a set of KBS Tours laying around and these will be the engine for the onoff heads.

Topline is thicker, feel wise is hard to describe. They both have that pure forged feel just different.

That set is awesome looking and they really are directly from the OnOff Tour Section unlike sets that were sold elsewhere much later then when this set was originally purchased by the seller...back when the 247's were actually still in it's "proto" stage.

I know the seller and he's a member here at Golfwrx. He also has a set of Proto Nike Split Cavities and Miura Splits. Surprised he's finally sold these as I thought he was just going to keep them in his collection of superb split cavities.

They're a great set of irons that I have hit on a few occasions..just wasn't ballsy enough to buy. Good luck with them. You'll love the feel for sure.

Thanks for the info. I always loved the head profie of the Nike and Miura Splits but didn't care for the swoosh on the Nikes or the busy lettering of the Miuras. Now I love the clean look of these Onoffs. I didn't even know they exist so I was so excited to see them. Now I only hope they will perfom as well as they look. I've been playing some Epon combo sets which I never thought would leave my bag, so my expectation is high, LOL.

Depends on condition and shafts, a set in very good condition went for just over 800 usd on Yahoo Japan. Mint would get about a grand.

the 247 is a classic. I sold my used set for about the same price and have regretted it ever since. better that the 202 IMO, m,ore forgiving and better feel. the nsp 999 was the perfect shaft for this head...
