[Terrible-Tom]

Any of you Chicago guys ever play out at Ft Sheridan? I learned to play there in the 1970's and wondered if it will ever reopen.

Nice, I played #3 last September. Number 10 ate me up!!!!

 

I didn't think #3 was open yet....was Friday the first day?

 

I played Thunderhawk today. Nice course..pretty challenging and the greens were rolling really fast!!!

 

I don't know when it opened, but it was in great condition. The greens could have been little faster, though... I was able to spin the ball back on several occasions. I did take the member's advice to stay below the hole... for the most part :man_in_love: 10 was pretty much the only one where I was way above the hole, with a big right-to-left putt. I was very happy to walk away with a 2-putt par.

 

I'm down south (near Cog/Ruffled Feathers/Big Run). Have yet to play Thunderhawk... From all accounts, it appears to be a very nice track.

That doesn't surprise me! They baby that course wayyy too much- I'd be a bit annoyed if I was a member.

 

Glad you had fun though....I needed a five hour nap after playing there last Summer. Playing that course is extremely mentally and physically exhausting.

Ruffled played very nice last Sat - that course was in great shape - it was a scramble so its hard to judge my own game

 

Thunderhawk is one of my favorites - that and Stonewall Orchard are 2 of the best courses around

 

Heading over to Whisper Creek in Huntley this Sat - thats a good course for the $

Hi everyone

 

I'm out in the Western Burbs. I try to get out when I can but kids & housework keeps me down. I'm generally around a 15-16 handicap.

 

I like playing most of the courses listed here already, Cantigny, Cog Hill, Prarie Landing (nice practice area!), Klein Creek, Mill Valley etc

 

I'd love a shot at getting on some of the more exclusive Chicago courses. The ones I've played so far Dubs, Kemper, White Eagle.

 

Weekends are usually best for me to get out but sneaking in 9 during the week is always a possiblity.
