Has anyone tried the Proforce V2 55 gram series?

What do you think

The topic says it all. I am thinking about giving the Proforce V2 5050S a try, but I haven't heard much about the 55 gram version (in this case 57 gram). I just wanted a little feedback to see what everyone thinks. It will be going in a Callaway Ft-3 10.5* and a Taylormade R5 TP 10.5*. Thanks for all of your help and have a great day.

I have it in my driver. Its a very light for me, so i goosed it up with some lead tape. Now its closer to 85... which I like.

I really like the bend profile of this shaft. It is very smooth. I have been working on evening out my swing, but occasionally I get a little quick with and the shaft is still able to respond.

The feel of ths shaft is what won me over at first, but I really fell in love with the results. I can hit it with a good high flight without too much spin.

It shouldn't be hard to find it in at a shop in an OEM head. Give it a try.

I've got this exact shaft untipped in my R5.

I really like it. This is my first foray into ultralight shafts, and I've been very pleased. I'm more of a swinger, not a very hard one at that 100-105ss. The 55g has a slightly different bend profile than it's heavier brothers, it's more a mid kick than a mid-high. It also feels a little smoother (although not as smooth as the MW-54) and not as boardy as the heavier ones IMHO.

It has a higher ball flight as phillypete mentioned but is still low spin. One thing I really like about it is that even though it has a good kick through impact, it's still stable enough to allow you to really step on it without fear of spraying drives right and left.

The only thing I don't like about it is that the butt of the club feels very thick in the right hand which took some getting used to for my small hands. Small gripe, but one to consider none the less.

I have this shaft untipped (stiff flex) in a R7 425 10.5. I wanted something light to generate more swingspeed because injury. I'm a swinger with what I would call a medium tempo. My ballflight is high, straight and long with this combo (well, most of the time long and straight :-). A mid kick shaft with a smooth kick. I had better results with this head/shaft combo compared to a R7 425 TP 9.5 with stock Reax/Rombax 75 stiff and Axiv 6568M shaft.

I have got this exact shaft in my Nike SQ 10.5 degree and really like it. I haven't had a lot of time on the course with it because I just got the club but with a smooth, medium swing it really performs well.

Like everyone has mentioned the ball flight and spin with this combination is great.
