***Srixon Z-TX Driver are you serious***

I had to post this up to see if anyone else has had a similiar experience. I went to a demo day last weekend and hit all the new (well, at least to me) drivers (ft-tour, Diablo tour, superfast, supertri, cobra ZL, S2, VR tour, cleveland, etc..) and I liked a few but non really impressed me to the point of kicking out my 9015d UNTIL......I was getting ready to leave; I walked by the cleveland tent and the rep had a bag sitting off to the side with a few Srixon items. The drivers still had the rapper on them but out of curiosity I asked the rep if I could hit the driver (Z-TX). OMG......................you can't be serious. The ball shot off the face! I was flying the ball further than any other driver I hit that day. All other drivers kept hitting the base of this little hill or just short of it down out on the range BUT the Srixon carried it too the top mound and extra 7-10 yards. I know that doesn't sound like much but it still out performed every other driver I hit.

 

Why doesn't anybody else talk about this driver?

Because most people can't find it. I went to a demo day a few weeks back and the Cleveland/Srixon guy only had a Z-TX 6 iron and 3 wood. That's it. The 3 wood was awesome in every way but the store the demo was at isn't carrying any Srixon stuff. Too bad. They make great stuff and the Z-Star Tour Yellow is my ball of choice.

good point konklifer! You rarely see Srixon stuff at the retail chains.

I hit the 3 wood as well and was very impressed. Both woods have a great traditional shape and sit very sqaure at address and the feel with the stock shaft was great.

I had the same experience at a demo day. This thing is hot, looks good, blue board, the only thing I didn't like was the price.

... I hit it Demo day at the PGA Show and was not very impressed. It seemed average in length and had a very loud sound compared to most 2010 drivers. I think the $499 price tag will keep everyone away, including stores.

I agree with chisag, This driver is not very inpressive. I have had it since october and it is just an ok driver, not very long but fairly straight. I feel last years Z-RW is better. I also think at demo days manufactures have extra hot drivers that go farther than ones you can buy off the shelf. On the other hand, I think the 3 wood is fantistic !

It made my top three on the PGA demo day with the williams and Cobra ZL. Tought it was a great driver. I dont agree with chisag on sound, for me it was more muted than others drivers i tried, tought the sound was solid enough.

i found one in a second hand bin with a quadra fire express 65 sx on it. i think this is as good as it gets, its a fantastic club, great sound and long distance. and the dispersion is really tight. i have a lot of drivers and this is the one i go to when im playing tight courses. this set up is perfect its supeceeded a lot favourites i n the last cp l of weeks its my go to club now. and it looks great at address, fantstic flight/sound cant recomend this enough.
