My Graduation Gift From My Folks

Needing Help
So my father and mother told me last night that I can get ANY irons I want, shafts and etc. Right now I'm gaming the MP-67's and loving the feedback back wanting something a little more forgiving 4-6 iron but hell bent on getting straight blades for 7-PW.

At the moment I'm thinking of doing Titleist AP2 4-6 iron with KBS Tour Black Nickel shafts and Titleist MB 7-PW KBS Tour black nickel shafts also.

Also at the moment I'm a 8.3 Handicap, been playing since December of 2008. Any ideas or inputs would be nice seeing as how I dont really know how these clubs compare to what I'm playing.

Scratch Custom. They'll work the profiles. The one problem I have with combo sets is the transition seems unnatural.

+1000000000000000 on that as well. i have the titleist cb/mb combo with kbs shafts myself but if i had the choice myself when i got these i would have gone with the scratch ones. they were out of my budget but not out of yours. go with scratch all the way

I have the AP2 710's and a friend of mine is buying a AP2 710 set too. I have the DG S300 and he is ordering them with Project X 5.0. The AP2 is a good iron, good feel and very forgiving. I am a 9.1 HDCP and I would definitely not buy the AP2's if I had the possibility to choose again. I would have gone with the MB 710. They aren't that hard to hit at all and they are super accurate. The feel when you pure a 3iron is fantastic. You can't compare the MB's with the AP2's. A mix between those would be nice but my advice. BUY a full MB set. You will get used to them and post VERY low scores.

Keep it simple. The MP-67's are nice but not the easiest to hit blades out there - whereas the MP-68's are also nice and are a doddle to hit. Coming from the MP-67's, the MP-68's will feel like you're hitting CB's - the set will look nice and clean being all blades and you won't have to worry about the transition of a combo set. Trust me, if you're serious about golf and getting your handicap down, then a full set of blades is the way to go. Custom fitted of course.

i have the ap2 710 irons with px 6.5 which i love. but if you want a better combo go 3 iron ap2, 4-7 titleist cb, 8-9 titleist mb and vokey 48 degree pitching wedge a friend of mine has it like this and hes lealy happy i gave hot to him and the transition from 7 to 8 feel is preety similar the look at adress is the same and the short irons as a blade is better for some but i prefer the ap2 but thats just me. He also has kbs x stiff which play harder than my shafts but im considering switching prom the px to kbs because they feel much better but i am used to my px so its just the comfort level and feel but u must try them out before buying cause i have made that mistake before and it wasnt good and get fitted if you can it makes a lot of difference.

Go with the full set of mp68's they are that easy of a blade to hit. If u want a mizuno combo I would use mp62's in the long irons as they have the same feel as the mp68's the mp58's feel nice but different to the 68's...

Titleist 910D3 9.5°
Taylormade Rocketballz tour 18°

Mizuno MP-H4 2 iron
Callaway ApexMB '18 4 - PW
Vokey SM7 52° + 58°
Ping Scottsdale Halfpipe

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
