Best soft golf bag travel case???

IF you can find it, the Cargo Golf X2 Hybrid is the best combo of Hard top and soft, collapsible middle that I have found. I've used the Club Glove and it can be crushed which means everything inside get s crushed also. The hype is that tour players use them which is true, but if something break they get it fixed for free at a tour trailer. Your and I don't. THe SKG cases are great and very safe, but too big for most rental cars.

They take up no more space (with clubs) than the soft cover bags. When the clubs are removed, the bag collapses. At some point, one needs to determine if reducing the risk of shaft snapping and crushing is important. For me it is. I've seen the results of soft bags and it isn't pretty. Doesn't happen often but it does happen.

+1 on the Club Glove and a stiff arm. Very solid, compact unit which has enough space for more then just your clubs.

Managed to squeeze a Titleist 10.5" staff bag into my Club Glove Last Bag (which is a Titleist embroidered Last Bag )

If you can go the extra cost, nothing beats it.

Why do you want to replace your SKB hard case? I'm looking to replace my soft to hard due to upcoming overseas travel...is your hard case damaged/cracked?

Get a removable head driver and remove it for travel, put it's shaft, tip first in your bag, put all your irons in the bag upside down so the weight is over the wheels and the heads aren't attacking your wood shafts.

We use one hard SKB and one Club Glove Burst proof to travel, any guesses on which one the wife pulls?

Definitely Club Glove, I've had mine for 4 1/2 years now, no problems or rips, a little dirty, but its cool!

Am also looking for a new travel cover so good thread for me. Bought a stiff arm to use with me current bag and, much to my surprise, the head thingy was off it when I arrived in Ireland. So not sure if it saved my driver or not, but was surprised that it was so easily decapitated. Never used it before and never had an issue ......

Club glove with stiff arm. I space out my alignment sticks and umbrella as well for added protection.
