Corning, NYgolf?

My wife is planning on doing the marathon in October in Corning, and I will be coming along. I've tried looking up some courses in the area. Any recommendations? Willowcreek looks like it may be ok, but if there is a pretty good course not that far away, I'd love to hear about it.

Might be a little farther than you're willing to travel, but I highly, highly recommend The Links at Hiawatha Landing ~1hr east on Rt.17. http://www.hiawathalinks.com/

I travel 4 hrs. there every year from Long Island. It's that good - particularly the back 9!

I've never been further west than that so I have no knowledge on the Corning area.

Check out Mark Twain Golf Course in Elmira. Also Soaring Eagles in Elmira. Joey Sindelar's folkes live on the second hole. Great tracks not far from Corning.

+1 on Hiawatha Links and Mark Twain Both Very Nice.

Willow Creek I don't Care Much for.

A little further to the south (about 30 miles South on US 15) is Corey Creek (Mansfield, PA); That's a nice place and fairly priced. Tyoga Country Club in Wellsboro is Beautiful but can be hard to get on at times.

EnJoie is not too far in Endicott old home of the BC Open.

I'd also agree with Links at Hiawatha (although I can't say I would drive 4 hours to just to play it) along with Conklin Players Club (south of Binghamton).

Personally I wouldn't recommend EnJoie, especially with Hiawatha and Conklin in the area.
