info pls gents..,

they are selling in my shop in tokyo for a tidy sum,
i was told there are 20 of them in japan , my guy has 3 , they are being sold as the best thing since sliced bread.
the core of a golf ball is the insert. im not sure of the model but it tink its the LP3
i must say for the little play around i had with it , it felt sensational
can anyone add something about this i was seriously tempted but i know nothing about them

I have two Bobby Grace putters, a DCT anser style putter that was Macgregor branded and my current center shafted Triumph putter that is under his own name. These putters are both fantastic and the Triumph is probably the most forgiving putter I have ever used. The insert (in both) has different types of rubber in it so if you mis-hit it on the heel or toe, the ball travels the same distance as if you hit the center.

If I had to pick a downside it would be that the insert can be almost too soft if you play really slow greens and you really have to hit it hard to get it to the hole. I usually use my TM Spider for super slow greens. On faster greens though, it's money!

I have a Grace DCT Sunset (branded MacGregor) and indeed the insert is extremely soft. I play it from time to time as I like the set up and heavier feel vis-a-vis my Cameron Circa 62 to be a fresh change every now and then.. It can provide some benefits on fast greens but I found distance control on 15+ foot putts to be tricky.

Once I started playing the Penta I found the combination of the Penta's soft feel and the Sunset's insert to be TOO soft. It felt like I was rolling a marshmellow.

When I do bring the Sunset out for a round I use a different ball.
