So.Cal WXR's Amanda Post Memorial Golf Tournament UPDATED

Many of you are aware of the tragic car accident that claimed 3 lives and severly injured 2 other in Bishop Ca, The Amanda Post foundation has been set up to raise money for scholarships to promising track athletes in the San Diego area that need fiancial assistance to further their education. 100% of the profits will go to this foundation.

The event will be a 4 man scramble at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club on monday nov. 1st teeing off at 12 noon. cost is $150 per player before 10/15/2010 and $175 after that date. A box lunch, generous gift bag, long drive, closest to the pin, various skills challenges followed by a full banquet after the golf. We will have lots of great raffle prizes as well. Please come out and represent WRX at this fun, charitable event. You can pm me with any questions. The flyers and treasury will be set up this weekend. Thanks, I hope you can make it. Here is the website, it came out well IMO. A WRX team would be great. We are hoping to raise enough to give out the first scholarship this year.

Well its coming together, Phil Mickelson just donated one of the sunday Masters flags from last years win, signed with a COA and Geoff Ogilvy donated his rookie season staff bag signed with COA as well as TaylorMade coming through big for us with prizes. Callaway is looking into what they can do, a travel company is donating a trip to Nassau as well as a bunch of other things. The menu is herb crusted roast beef with a beur blanc sauce and salmon in a cream dill sauce with all the trimmings. A long driver hole will be manned by Toby Alderete, he is 6th alternate in Mesquite but figures thats to far out to get in so he volunteered for our shindig. Steve is donating a DCT 7.5 head which will be shafed with a HOF Sadlowski x flex shaft donated by Robert Kent. We have foursomes at lots of clubs including the Bridges and The Farms where (tenatively) the winner and a guest will tee it up with UCSD golf coach Tim Mickleson. Well, thats the latest, it gets better and better everyday. Come on out and join us.

Thanks Mark, we are waiving the late entrant fee of $175 and letting people sign up for $150 through this thursday 10/28 til 5 pm. So can we get a bit of WRX participation ? Would love to put a few more faces to some screen names. I personally gaurantee one of the best golf days of your golfing life!!!!!
