I came across this one a short while ago. I'm not sure what to make of it as I'm not that familiar with the practices of those on the "other" site or their auctions.

If someone here knows what's up, let's here it. It might be educational for those of us who are always in search of Tour equipment.

the guy clearly has some hard feelings about a particualr site, i think it is comical for him to critizing the practices of that site or site owner when he himself is trying to rob you. first, the book costs way to much or what you are getting. second, has anyone noticed the shipping price????

I don't think the seller is actually planning on selling anything. The shipping price went up from $70 to $270, and opening bid price jumped from $10 to $100. My guess is it's just one of the people who've had bad dealings with . . . whomever the seller may be referring to. :cheesy: Certainly he's got a captive audience and is able to get . . . some kind of message out there, which is either a helpful warning to others or a cathartic venting for him (could be part of a recommended course of treatment by a therapist--I'm not one to judge :) ). HOWEVER,

After reading all of this I am pretty sure the price of the "guide" is a joke and giving it a title so he could get people on Ebay to look up his BSG bashing, I am not really agreeing or disagreeing with him as the only tour club I have ever owned was given to me by a tour player and it really seemed like it was just fit to him.

I will say that I have watched a few tour players try clubs as my instructor is very high profile and works with a good number of tour players and they try 10-30 of the same model drivers until they pick out the 2 or so they like. Maybe the real trick is that the clubs they get aren't all perfect either and they just get to sift through the "Bin" hitting each club until they get what they are looking for, which the regular consumer doesn't get to do.

I closed the post since the ebay link is now gone and people can't see what the topics about. I think GolfWRX has a fairly large number of registered users, over 15k for being a year old.... and I'm sure both sites have members that have been excluded from each other's site. Unless the number of banned users increases significantly over at BSG, I doubt there is a trend of our site becoming outcast. Especially since we are backed by Industry Sponsors such as UST, Fujikura, Accuflex, Bridgestone, Sonartec, Bettinardi, Mills, etc... As a rule, ownership does not comment publicly about BSG and we will continue with that policy. We hope BSG ownership refrains from their "rhetoric" of the past about WRX being this and that.
