Fun info I heard from a inside source:

They gave 2 of these to Bubba to play around with. He went out and played 36holes, was very impressed and stated it was 15yards longer. He had it tested again and it was outside USGA limits, they had tested it right beforehand as well and it was fine. Apparently, they have to tone it down for him as with his kind of stress wears them down that fast.

That is impressive!!

Hey, I am not a fan of the half moon now, and wavered at other flashy looking stick as well, but if it hits it longer and straighter sign me up in lavender with an tangarine shaft and turqouise grip!!

Everything looks great except the crown. Way too busy!!!

 

 

I've seen the club in person and the picture shown abouve is very decieving. The spider web design is very suttle in person. It is truely a ghost image when you address the club. From what I understand the web is where the composite replaces the titanium. Awesome sound for a composite driver.

Dude, take it easy and read the entire post. I wrote "Just kidding!!!!" I made that up because of all the questions surrounding the name. While it might be a bad attempt at humor, that's exactly what it is.

I heard that the crown was see-through and that it is not a graphic but the skeletal structure of the clubhead. There is one picture where the "graphic" looks more metallic.

YES :drinks: But everyone agrees the headcover is great looking. We'll see how well they sell at $599

 

ALMOST everyone... I don't think any OEM headcover out now looks good. It just asks people to come and steal your clubs. Get a set of Skins Headcovers and you won't have that problem and they will last forever. I've had mine for almost 10 years without needing any new ones.

I am a Ping guy through and through and can't wait to get my hands on it. Who cares what it looks like. If it smashes the ball a long way it could have a picture of Joan Rivers on it as far as I'm concerned !

I saw pictures today from the Open and Angel Cabrera's Rapture driver, although this time you could not see through the crown. I am wondering if it is dependent on angle and light, or what? Really gonna have to see this one (not necessarily before I buy it though).

the more i see these, the more i hate the headcovers. I like to tuck the sock into the bag when i put the driver away. with my G2 you can still see the shaft and that really bugs me.

Actually most of the players at the JDC had this driver and fairway woods in their bags. I did not see any rapture irons but I did seeh the NEW S58 irons and they looked sweet.
