Looks like a bad choice of names biblical silliness aside. I've heard people already referring to it as the Rupture series of clubs by Ping. The retailers either laugh when people ask or wince knowing even the real name makes people feel like a 15 year old asking the drug store cashier for a pack of trojans. Exactly same look on their face.

You did'nt hear it from me!

These are approx. selling prices $449.99 driver $279.99 fairway $1249.99 irons

The above is NOT the suggested.

I think it wil be a bad morve for PING if they use the previously mentioned priced. The G2 and G5 sold for $299.99, correct? Why such a drastic increase? The average Joe won't want top spend the extra money on a newer club, thus resulting, in my opinion, a drop in the Ping market share for woods. Ping also didn't do the Driver and get a "free" wood/hybrid like Callaway, TaylorMade and Cleveland. We'll see.

The Rapture driver, fairway, and irons are PINGs entry into the high end marketplace.

(just like taylormade r7 425 quad $399.99 cgb irons $1299.99, callaway Fusion $399.99 driver /$1199.99 graph. irons....etc...) The redwood putters will be milled, and sell in the $199.99 to 299.99 range. These are all additions to the line, not replacements for the G5 irons, or driver/fairways. The s58 will replace the s59, and the I5 will stay in the line-up also. The new wedge will replace the M/B. On a lighter note, there will be a Golf Glove in the line up for the U.S. market. ( Sold overseas, and in canada for years) Several new bags. The prices shown in a prior post are what you should expect to PAY at your local shop.

Ping stuff has ALWAYS been high. This should not be a surprise. What surprised me was the G5 driver being $299 retail on its release. Ping has always set a high price on its equipment, so this one surprised me. The Rapture series will be expensive for sure. Will I buy any of it? No. I'm looking at I5's. If I were looking at their driver I would buy a G5 not the Rapture. Will other people try it and buy it? Yes, definitely. Ping stuff always sells because of the diehard Ping guys and Ping's rock-solid and well-deserved reputation.

Yep, seen the glove around up here for a while. It is synthetic though, not leather. :man_in_love: (At leat the ones I've seen, mabye they'll expand the glove line)

No kidding. Why didn't they go all out and call it the "Orgasm" or "Money shot"? Ping is usually VERY conservative with their image and marketing, so this name seems completely out of character.
