Ignite 460 is ruining my game

Can anyone say fade bias?

Ugh, I lost my post so this will be shorter than the original.

Got a used Ignite 460 a week ago, hit it well, but have a hard time hitting a draw (my natural flight) unless I go hard with my right side. The overcompensation carries over to my irons and I'm having a hard time controlling the draw. Maybe because they're D0 when I'm used to D2 (can't find lead tape locally, don't want to pay $8 shipping on a $5 item), maybe because I bent them 2* upright (though my divots are pretty even so they're at most 1* upright).

*sigh I have a qualifier Tuesday so I guess I'll have to take the lead tape I was using to counterblance the D4 swingweight (so it's not such a big drop to my D2 3 wood and D0 irons) and put some on the heel.

The club is great though. More forgiving than my 905S and about 5 yds longer on solid shots.

Slap some lead on the heel and counterbalance under the grip if necessary. Mabye try experimenting with ball position to hit a pull-fade or something similar.

You can't find lead tape locally? I see these packs of lead pads (thick) that are 3 grams each made by Tee Mate at every golf store in town. Try looking by all the silly accessories (stroke counters, funky tees, putting cups, shoe brushes etc...) and you might find them there. If not order it and pay $8 for shipping. If you need it you need it.

Bleh! Not a pull fade! I hate those things man, and i swear a pull fade cute like 30 yds off the drive. Heelers and pull fades are the worst...

:man_in_love: Just so you know, "great clubs" don't ruin your game, maby it is not a great club after all. Check out the tennis section of your local sports store, There might be some in there. If not, take some duct tape & some pennies & tape them to the heel of your driver. It'll work in a pinch.

I agree with the above post. If you can't square the head the driver isn't right for you. And if the problem is as bad as you say, I doubt weights will help.

I'd go back to your previous driver. It may be five yards shorter, but that is not a lot when you have a qualifier.

Ignite has always been knows as the "anti-left" and the Blue shaft probably isn't helping much.

this is why i got rid of my ignite 460. i love my ignite 410 an wanted something more forgiving so assumed bigger is better, but i was wrong. i just couldn't get the face square. after one particularly bad round i went to the range/instructor/shop and demoed a sq and now have a sq and sq tour. the sq (both models) and the ft-3 are the 3 460 drivers i've had the most success with.

knowing what you know about that driver now, if you are continueing to use it then it is you who is ruining your game, and not the driver.
