Perhaps you are crazy, but this is a damn mental game (about 90% between your ears)...so if you think you play Titleist clubs well, then you probably will.

That being said, I play my best golf with Titleist clubs (I have no rational explanation for this)...it's a long wait for me to get my hands on teh 906 and 585...

Am I crazy or does having a bag full of Titleist add loads of confidence just looking at them?

If you like Titleist.

For some reason, the guys I've seen lately with Tity bags are very good players. Of course, they've got Mizuno irons in their bags. But Tity woods and vokey wedges.

I don't think you're crazy...not at all.

I recently put a mallet putter (that shall remain nameless) in my bag after the newport wasn't getting it done. I didn't like the other mallets by Cameron. It broke my heart to put something "impure" in my bag. But once the ball started dropping again...it bothered me a lot less.

Now that the detour is out though, I might have to spend a little more money to get back to an all Titleist all the time - bag.

(okay, I admit that I play another high performance ball occassionally when they land in my yard from the neighboring golf course) I just had to confess that sin and get it off my chest too. :)

Good golf to you...

Definitely crazy but it's a good crazy. At least Titleist and Mizuno have tried to stay with golf clubs that perform and look like golf clubs instead of giving them goofy names, scallops, spider webs on the crown, silver add ons, bright colors, sunken crowns, inserts, medallions. Only Mizuno wandered a little bit with the carbon crown (but they still own the only one that I ever found to perform the MP-001 370cc model)

There's nothing wrong with a carbon crown, just the evolution of materials. You want an all carbon body? Callaway already tried that with the C4 and it didn't go so well.

You got that right! Although I like Titleist irons, there is no perfect combo like Mizuno irons and Titliest woods, wedges, and putter. Now if I could only decide which bag to carry them in. :D :D :D :kewlpics:

Umm... No! I'd say you are completely sane of mind. I've tried many different brands and kept coming back to what works best for me. It seems to work best for a lot of other players too.

Don't think I said one thing about an all carbon body. Read carefully you will see. Carbon crowns are fine for high lofted drivers and people that need help launching the ball. And please don't tell me about VJ and Phil because the drivers they are playing are so far from the retail models it doesn't bear thinking about. VJ two entirely different molds (4 and 7 degrees open), and Phil's heads have six adjustable weights not three slabs. Nobody wants to pay $100 for carbon materials that essentially does nothing. And yes callaway tried an all carbon driver and it was a flop. Yonex however made a carbon driver that was among the best of its time (longer than any persimmon and steel drivers made at the time and longer than Mizuno's first Ti driver also---Ti 1400). It's problem was the face broke down every golf season but Yonex happily replaced them free of charge. Carbon is a poor return on investment (for the golfer) that gets the golf companies any extra few bucks. Only the FT-3 has had a decent shelf life.
