Well to start mine off it would be the Masters

I have been to every single major with my dad and mom and the Masters was just the coolest i thought.

I voted the Masters. I think Augusta National is just the coolest place for a golf tournament. I really love this course. But every major is something special and really tough British Open conditions, with the wind blowing and rain, are also great. But for me the Masters is the coolest.

I also voted the masters. Not only is it the one golf tournament I would watch when I hated golf, it has the best course in the entire world, not to mention its, " A tradition unlike any other!"

I voted for The Open. For starters it's got an incredible history. The oldest major with so many thrilling conclusions over the years. Also though I love links golf and equally enjoy the top players playing this form of golf. I also believe it attracts the most universal field. Therefore I voted for the Open.

ita a toss up for me between the masters and the pga.. the masters for the tradition and the beauty of the course.. then the pga for what they have done for the game.

I vote for the PGA Championship. It's best field in golf and the course set-up is also very fair.

US open for sure, there is nothing better than watching people compete to become the united states open champion. I like how it is played at a variety of courses, public and private, as well as the difficulty level.

It is a toss up for me between the US Open and the British Open. the more brutal the conditions, the better.

Masters..Simply because its always beautiful, its the first Major of the season and the barriers that Tiger broke down by winning in 1997.

The Open. Primarily because of its history. The Masters is beautiful, but I think those old links courses are just as beautiful. Plus, The OPen provides the most variety of play and shots - a perfect example is Tiger's win using driver off of one tee and playing simply amazing long iron shots into the greens. Golf is a world game now and The Open is the best reflection of that. (I'm American, btw)

For me the US Open is my favorite overall. It is played on different courses, public and private, and in my opinion tests a players total game, including the mental aspect, like no other.

 

I like the British Open almost as much, but a lot of Open courses rely on wind to defend themselves. That being said I can't wait for the Open next year at Carnoustie. It's going to be really tough, wind or not.

The US Open for the same reasons already stated. Strigent test of golf on a wide variety of courses to identify the player in total control of all aspects of their game. I like the history and courses of the British Open, but I agree with sergizmo if the wind doesn't blow the courses have no defense as illustrated by Tiger's victory.

 

Before I get flamed let me say I give Tiger complete credit for figuring out that he only needed to hit driver once in 72 holes to win and for sticking to that strategy. On the other hand I was very disappointed in an Open Championship course where the winner only had to hit driver once in 72 holes.

Not going to vote as I have two and they are for far different reasons. For watching, I love the Masters. How could anyone not? Hardly any commercials and if you have an HDTV, it's just stunning to watch. I basically set up like I'm watching a movie, relatively little light in the room, veg on the couch, and watch every minute.

 

I also love the British. First, I like watching good golf before heading out to the course. Second, it's the oldest and often lets me see players I wouldn't otherwise know. Third is a sentimental reason. The last time I ever went and stayed at my grandmothers house, the Open was on TV. Typically, she'd watch church services every morning, but I talked her into watching a golf tournament (my grandmother lived on a farm in west Texas next to a very small town and didn't know anything about golf). Well, it was the year Daly won in a playoff and I actually got her cheering for him since he was from Arkansas, a good ole boy, and beating an Italian.

 

Probably my best memory of watching a golf tournament on TV.
