Interesting look and I'm told the feel is great.

Anyone tried a graphite shaft for a putter? I was talking with a local club maker and he mentioned he was using a graphite driver shaft in his putter these days. He said that he felt the feel was smoother and the look great. Anyone tried this?

I have not, but i am about to put one of the ust frequency filtered putter shafts in my 2ball, from what i have read it will give you more feel, but still have the same putter shaft characteristics ...the thing i wud worry about with a graphite wood shaft is the weight, driver shafts are typically 65g where putter shafts are 100+...just my two cents

I have the Nike IC 20/20 with a graphite shaft and i really like it. Its lighter and you can really feel the putter head .

Fujikura makes the PT110 if you can find it. Great shaft

A lighter and/or more dampenng shaft works for some golfers, but most golfers perform best with a heavier shaft model.In some circles, the trend is to go heavier in the shaft department.

Sweet yes...Karsten Solheim must have thought that too before his patents ran out ? Am toying with the idea of a lightweight driver shaft in a putter and adding the extra/missing weight to the putter head for increased pull thought the line ?

I was wondering about this the other day, could be an interesting experiment. I imagine you'd get really good feedback and it might do a lot to take the wrists out of the stroke.

I have a graphite matrix putter shaft in white if anyone wants to try one out hit me up... It feels great but it will not work in the Kombi S. Its currently in a Rife..

I used to offer graphite in putters using graphite shafts that had broken at the hosel. Putters usually require .370 shaft tips so you have to really tip trim the graphite. That's OK because a putter shaft is stiff and shorter that any woods!
People liked the colors of the graphite! Nobody complained about the performance of the graphite in a putter!

I just recently put a penley wedge shaft into an odyssey black series #1 milled putter that i converted with an extension in to an almost belly and the feel is tremendous much better than anything else I've tried you certainly get more feedback from the head and you can feel it more throughout the stroke. Overall weight is lightened but SW if anything would have gone up since you can feel the head much more with graphite than steel IMHO. I think this one will be my gamer for the year unless i get crazy and do a complete custom build

Ive had a couple putters from Japan that had graphite shafts. They are lighter and give a softer feel than putters with steel shafts.

after i swapped shafts from steel to graphite, i gained about 50 yards in my putts.

I've got the frequency filtered and Matrix putter shafts.

I love the Matrix, amazing feel and it looks super cool!
