I have a 4.5 and a 6.5 XX Speed. My younger brother is presently using the 4.5 on the senior LDA circuit. The 6.5 I'm using---remember the lofts are a little misleading. The 6.5 is more like an 8.5. Neither club is as good a club as the old SS 427 Tour drivers in 4 and 6 or the 450 SZ Tour in 4.5, 5.5, or 6.5. These are obviously the heads made for the Pinnacle Team. An 8.5 version of the XX Speed is available at retail. If you know someone they can get you the lower lofted heads.

Sandy's right, there's nothing like the old 427's and 450 tour's, I have them both in 6* and my xx speed even though says 7.5* on the bottom was bent to 7* on the tour van, unfortunately not knowing alot of people I still can't get lower than 7.5 anymore even though I'm a member of the LDA and Players Tour. I always ask if the people I'm playing with that have them if they want to sell them and they are bound to a contract and can't sell them. But if anyone Knows someone can you please help me?

A real good Cobra/Titleist rep. can get them for you. You just need to find a local rep. that has a pretty big area. The Titleist ball guy got me my first SS years ago while the region was waiting for a replacement club guy. The second one I got through the Pinnacle team (not one of theirs by the way just a direct contact to deal with through my dealers).

As much as I tried, even through the Cobra fitting van, I couldn't get one through them, It was like pulling teeth when getting my xx spped in that loft, all I get is "we don't make those lofts" even though I have them personally. Cobra fitting van directed me to Art, and even they can't help me unless sponsored by Cobra. So I look thru ebay, but there's not too many people that can hit our lofts, mostly higher lofts that doesn't help me. So as much as I like /love Cobra drivers, I might just have to switch to SMT, BANG, or ALPHA, but I don't really care to, the only heads I can deal with are the Encore and Bang-o-matic, totally different from what I'm used to. If you can set me up with your rep, that would be a great help. After hitting my drivers alot, and I mean alot, they are wearing very quickly and I need to get ready for next year, so I have some time to prepare, I'm shut down for a while with a hurt back and Knee, so to be able to get into contact with someone while I'm rehabbing, to set me up would help.

Thanks Sandy for your input!

Can't let my sources out for fear they would get shut down and thereby me. My experience is the Cobra tour van is a bunch of (fill in the blank) always have been always will be. I still maintain all you need to do is check with your local Cobra rep. and he can do something for you. Sellinger must have gotten cross ways with Cobra because they used to let him sell all the low lofted heads in the SS and SZ days but I see they don't even have that option anymore on the LDA site.

yeah, Sellinger has upset alot of people, of which they haven't renewed their dues or run locals out here, I guess I'll try to find who is my local rep at another dealer and go thru them seeing I really don't want to deal with GG or CCG, and try it out that way. In the meantime I'll put shafts in the other two Cobra's that I have and go from there. I still wonder if maybe Sellinger's store will start selling the low lofts again.
