Gotta go with Ping i5s. Soft, forgiving, minimal offset, high flight, can be worked easily if need be.

cally x14 ps' are awesome clubs...shouldn't have sold my tfr 5.5 set.

also i can't believe no one mentioned the ts-202's...extremely forgiving and quality forgings...these i'm keeping forever.

I would recommend the I5s, i play off 1 and i'm quite happy to use "shovels"( i hate that term). I played with the G2 for a season and a half and they were great. My only gripe was a little too clunky in the 9 iron and wedge. I'm sure these could be picked up for a good price on ebay. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is getting it round in fewest strokes and getting the sticks to do that.

I have been a 8-12 hp for 20+ yrs.Last ten I have owned X12s,845 ti,Mac VIP OS,Maxfli Rev,Prec Tour Prem,Mac 1025M,KZG II M(very nice and still have),MP30,Hogan Apex Pro,TM 320,MX-23,.I think the best of the bunch are the Xtours.Had reshafted with DNG SL S300.They have the "players club " attributes that come in handy for finesse shots but are very forgiving.The 3 & 4 irons are as forgiving as many shovel types.If I can only keep my insane desire to keep trying different stuff under control ,I hope to have these awhile.I think they are GREAT sticks.

This is a good call. i think the X tours are much more forgiving than many players realize. Hit them at a demo day & couldn't believe it. Just loved the X-18 a hair more.
