How do you arrange clubs in your stand bag?

Start of the round.... driver, 3, and 5 wood down the left side (top to bottom). Long irons in the first row, mid in the second, and short in the third... really the only way it makes sense when it's standing. Putter in the well.

End of the round, most if not all the irons jammed in the top two wells and often a lone iron in the fourth wood/hybrid spot. I'm not anal enough to make sure they always go where they're supposed to.

4,5,6 in right side of bag

7,8,9 in left side (becuase i usually drive and these clubs are hit more than 4 5 6

pw,52,56,60 in bottom

clubs in thier spot and occasionally ill misplace one aka put in in wrong hole lol

I too am very particular about club placement within my bag. Here's what I do.

Top: Driver, 3W, 5W, Putter
Middle left: 6i, 7i, 8i, alignment sticks
Middle right: 3h, 4i, 5i
Front left: 9i, PW
Front righ: 52*, 58*

Curious as to why some of you guys put the putter in the top? That thought never would have occurred to me.. mine's in the bottom, along with the wedges.

I also put the putter with the woods maybe its because they all have headcovers

Middle/Top/Right: 3 & 4 irons
Middle/Bottom/Left: 5, 6 & 7 irons
Middle/Bottom/Right: 8 & 9 irons and PW
Bottom: 54* & 60*

After this thread i decided to move my putter from my wedges at the bottom to the top with the driver and its much better to get in and out and you dont have any wedges on top of it getting the putter cover dirty. I have a 9 way divider and my setup is

Driver, 3 Wood & Putter
3H/ 4&5i/ 6i
7i/ 8i/ 9i & PW
52, 56, 60

I cant see changing from this now, seems spaced out much better now and looks neater too.

Middle/Bottom/Right: 8 & 9 irons

Bottom: PW, 51*, 54* & 58*

 

 

Any competition rounds i rotate out the hybrid, 2 iron, or 51* depending on the day/course.

 

Practice or a round with friends, I carry 15 clubs...sue me

Don't need to change a thing for myself. We even carry the same club mix. I too am very anal about where the clubs go. Growing up I left my bag in storage at my home course. Everyday someone would clean the clubs before they were put away. One lady that worked there would clean my irons and put EVERY iron in the middle right pocket of my Ping Hoofer. I never could understand that. It had to be hard jamming 10 clubs into one small pocket. It was certainly hard getting them out.

I always find it humorous when somebody puts their driver, woods, etc., in the bottom compartment.

I don't know about you, but I don't want clubs banging up against my driver shaft with every step I take.

i have a titleist stand bag with a well at the top, then a six pack kind of configuration but the bottom is one hole. i put driver 4w putter in the top well, 2h3h in the top left, 4i5i top right, 6i7i mid left, 8i9i mid right, wedges in the bottom. i am only anal about it because i don't like having to pull my clubs out like they are excalibur when they get jammed into one hole. when the round starts, i usually just take the putter headcover off and throw it in with the wedges. one reason is because its easy to just grab all of them when i have to go scramble and 2. so it doens't scratch up the driver shaft.
