What do you guys think of this deal?

I've been in the market for some forged CB's. Per the fitting chart, I would be a 5.5 flex in Flighted Rifle so the shaft flex is right.

 

What do you guys think of the BIN price? Is $550 a good price for these?

Looks good, but I would ask for some pics of the face of the irons just to be sure. 9.9 out of 10 to you might not be the same to him.

The seller isn't the most knowledgable I've come across. He insists he is selling the "2006 RAC TP" despite the fact that the pictures clearly show they are the '05 TP. But I think he's confused because he "bought them new in '06" as he explained in his response to my questions. Besides that, he seems on the level and candid. I'm not particularly concerned that the condition would be disappointing to me. He said they were played for 54 holes, even if he played them for 108 holes they'll still be in great shape. Now to muster up the courage to tell my wife that I just spent $570 on new sticks. Well, at least she's a golfer so she'll understand, right?

I even got him to waive the shipping charge so I got them for $549 shipped. I'll post when I get them.

They look good, like the other guys say it would be good to see the grovees and they have the cheap taylor grips of them so you mite wont to get new ones put on.

As you can see in the ebay link, arkstorm already bought the irons...couple days ago. 30 posts in the last couple hours might be a little over the top, golfdownunder. Slow and steady wins the race.

Most of us have learned the hard way NOT to go with what the seller claims. Pictures (clear, in-focus pictures, that is) always tell the story best. I've had seller claims that clubs were used less than the amount claimed in your item . . . only to have them arrive at my door with heavy rust on the sweet spot on all of the mid and short irons.Never, ever trust words only . . . unless it's from a trusted seller you've dealt with before. Luckily, there are lots of great sellers on this board, that's why your chances of a bum transaction are greatly reduced here as opposed to fleabay.

LOL . . . actually that seller did make good on that deal and has since purchased some Rocket Tours from me as well so no hard feelings. You'll be happy to know that I did finally get myself an HFS that IS minty . . .

 

 

 

I was actually referring to a set of MP-33's I bought a couple of years ago where the seller claimed limited use and they came with hard core sweet spot wear down to the bare metal . . . I was very peeved. That punk didn't man up to make it right . . .

The irons arrived, less than 48 hours after he put them in the mail. USPS from TX to PA in 2 days delivered. Wow!

 

The condition is outstanding, as described. The grips suck, but I already ordered some decades to put on 'em.

 

In short, I highly recommend this seller.
