14 way dividers...beneficial?

need a new bag

I'm getting ready to replace my 8-9 year old C130 with a new bag. Almost every round that I play is with a Sun Mountain V2 push cart. No rounds will be spent carrying and only a handful will be riding (I try to avoid riding at all costs). A few of the bags I've looked at have full length 14 way dividers. Is this beneficial to improving grip life or does it really make it easier to slide in and out etc... Perhaps sliding against a divider wears out a grip?

My old C130 has a 14 way top but is completely open underneath the top. Aside from an occasional hangup, I've never noticed much of an issue. Now that I can purchase something new, I might as well go with the best thing for both me and my clubs....

Full length 14 way divider is the way to go. Great shaft protection and makes life easy for getting the clubs in and out without the grip tangles,

Sun Mountain four 5 stand bag may be a good buy.

I've got a Titleist Lightweight Cart Bag and love it. It has 14 full length dividers [i]plus[/i] a dedicated putter well. It fits great on my Trekker TC3 cart and on a riding cart. The 14-way divider system makes it pretty easy to get clubs in and out of the bag and protects the shafts from each other.

I have the Titleist 14 stand bag, love the looks and functionality. Only downfall to me is having to put the club in the same hole everytime. Never fails that at least once a round I have to move 2 or 3 clubs back around to the right spots!

I have a TM supreme hybrid. Idea is good, but this bag doesnt do the trick. Clubs still get caught up, Have to sit it sideways on the pull cart. Not the best one to get if you do decide on a 14 divider. I think the sun mountain and Titleist are better options.

Honestly in my opinion, ive seen many a bags and for some reason always take notice because I am always looking for an upgrade. An acquaintance of mine that I played with last year had a bennington quiet organizer stand bag. The thing was baddddddda$$$$$$$. I would look into it if your in the market for a bag. '

I have the Titleist one, and its great. My clubs use to get stuck, now they go in/come out really easy.

Just curious guys, what could potentially happen to the shaft in a non 14 way divider setup?

Also, given that each club has its own slot, wouldn't this mean more room for the club to spin and have heads knocking into each other. Good idea for forged clubs? I figure having the club heads closer together like the non 14 way divider would minimize the movement.

I had that exact same concern but didn't find that it worked that way. There is enough friction to keep the clubs from spinning much at all. When walking I can make the clubs move enough to batter one another but at the same time, it's pretty easy to quiet them as well. I find that I get far less chatter w/the 14-way than I do with my PING Hoofer Vantage.

Yea I have the 14 way TItleist stand bag and the shafts do not twist. Titleist did a pretty damn good job, making each club fit snug, but not tight that it's hard to get out.

Love the 14 way as long as they are full length. If not I think they are worse.
The Titleist, Callaway and Mizuno cart bags are all made by Sun Mountain. At least according to the local Edwin Watts manager. They all sure look like they are.

Go with the 14 way full length dividers
